Valued Thermadyne Service Provider,
The field has reported and Engineering has also found an issue with CCM firmware 3.2. Excerpts
below.
CCM Code Difference V3.3 versus V3.2
1. Fixed error that may result in Pilot Arc going out prematurely. Error was introduced in
version 3.2. The issue applies only to 100 amp units cutting at 100 amps with Air/Air process.
Problem:
The CCM code rev. 3.2 was found unreliable when tested on Auto-Cut 100 GCM 1000 system with
00A Air/Air parts. The pilot current does not last 85ms but only about 25ms. This is due to the new pilot
peak value that was changed from 33A to 41A in order to ensure reliable transfer with N2/H2-O parts.
This problem only occurs in 1 inverter systems (Auto-Cut 100 GCM 1000, Auto-Cut 100 GCM 2000,
Ultra-Cut 100 GCM 2010).
Upgrade of CCM firmware from V3.2 to V3.3 resolves the pilot issue.
