Evelo Atlas Installation guide

  • Hello! I'm your chat assistant, and I've reviewed the EVELO user manual for Atlas and Omega rack and battery installation. This manual provides a step-by-step guide on installing the rear rack and secondary battery on your EVELO electric bicycle. I'm ready to help, if you have any questions about the installation process, battery connection or other procedures described in the document.
  • What should be done before installing the rack?
What type of bolts should be used for rack installation?
How to connect the new taillight?

Step 1: Open the seatpost quick release, then
unscrew it to remove the light. Unplug the
connector, then reassemble and tighten the
seatpost quick release.
Step 2: Using an allen wrench, remove the four
rack mounting bolts from the frame and discard.
New, longer bolts will be included with the
rack.
Step 3: Remove the battery from the rack and
hold the rack in place on the bike.
REMOVING THE BATTERY FROM THE RACK
PRIOR TO INSTALLATION IS CRUCIAL TO AVOID
DAMAGE TO BATTERY AND/OR BICYCLE.

Step 4: Using an allen wrench, install the lower
mounting bolts. Use the longer bolts from the
rack package; the bolts that came on the bike
are too short to hold the rack securely.
Step 5: Using an allen wrench, install the upper
mounting bolts. Use the longer bolts from the
rack package; the bolts that came on the bike
are too short to hold the rack securely.
Step 6: Connect the new taillight to the
connector you unplugged earlier. Line up the
arrows on each half of the connector and push
them together.

Step 7: Open the cover and plug the battery
into the frame port. It will only go in one way, so
be aware of the plug orientation.

Step 8: Your connections should now look like
this.
Go ride your bike!
Charging:
To charge the bike with both batteries installed,
connect only the charger that came with the
bike to either battery and both will be charged.
DO NOT PLUG A CHARGER INTO THE MAIN
BATTERY AND THE SECONDARY BATTERY AT
THE SAME TIME WHEN BOTH ARE INSTALLED
ON THE BIKE.
