Now check to settings by scanning your sample barcodes, reagent labels and other barcode labels you
want to use with your cobas c 111.
3. Disabling the Check Character Reading
A check character or “checksum” allows for adding safety to your reading of sample barcodes. When
not active, there is a chance of misreading which may lead to sample mismatches.
Roche Diagnostics strongly recommends using only barcode types with activated checksum!
If you want to disable the check character reading with a certain barcode type, scan the applicable
configuration barcode and wait for the confirmation beep. Disable the check character reading for
those barcode types only where necessary.
If you like to enable the check character reading again, refer to the configuration barcodes on page 1 of
this document (rows 5, 6, or 7 as applicable).
