For your own safety, please read this user manual carefully before you initial start-up.
Every person involved with the installation, operation and maintenance of this device has to:
- be qualilfied
- follow the instructions of this manual
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for having chosen a EUROLITE DX-4 dimmer-controller. You will see you have acquired a
powerful and versatile device.
Unpack your DX-4.
Before you initial start-up, please make sure that there is no damage caused by transportation. Should there
be any, consult your dealer and do not use the device.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This device has left our premises in absolutely perfect condition. In order to maintain this condition and to
ensure a safe operation, it is absolutely necessary for the user to follow the safety instructions and warning
notes written in this user manual.
Important:
Damages caused by the disregard of this user manual are not subject to warranty. The dealer
will not accept liability for any resulting defects or problems.
Never put any liquids on the device or close to it. Should any liquid enter the device nevertheless, disconnect
from mains immediately. Please let the device be checked by a qualified service technician before you
operate it again. Any damages caused by liquids having entered the device are not subject to warranty!
Never let the AC-cord come into contact with other cables! Handle the AC-cord and all AC-connections with
particular caution! Never touch these parts with wet hands!
Keep away from heaters and radiators!
If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. after transportation), do not switch it
on immediately. The arising condensation water might damage your device. Leave the device switched off
until it has reached room temperature.
Make sure that the available voltage is not higher than stated on the device.

Please consider that damages caused by manual modifications to the device are not subject to warranty.
Keep away children and amateurs!
There are no servicable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried
out by authorized dealers.
OPERATING DETERMINATIONS
You can install the device at any desired place. Please make sure that the device is not exposed to extreme
heat, moisture or dust. There should not be any cables lying around. You endanger your own and the safety
of others!
Do not operate the device in extremely hot (more than 30°C) or extremely cold (less than 5°C) surroundings.
Keep away from direct insolation (particularly in cars) and heaters.
Operate the device only after having familiarized with its functions. Do not permit operation by persons not
qualified for operating the device. Most damages are the result of unprofessional operation!
Never use solvents or aggressive detergents in order to clean the device! Rather use a soft and damp cloth.
If you want to move the device please use the original packaging in order to avoid transport damages.
Please consider that unauthorized modifications on the device are forbidden due to safety reasons!
FUNCTIONS:
1. Channel slider to control each channel.
2. Flash button, to flash output at maximum level.
3. Mode Select:
Hold Dim: Manual control of the four channels with sliders (1) and Dim Master (5).
Hold Sound: Music to light mode, Bass = channel 1, Mid = channel 2, High = channel 3, Anti Bass = channel

Program Sound: 10 preset programs chase to the beat of the music.
Program Speed: 10 programs chase to the speed set with slider (7) and button (10).
4. Program select:
Select programs 1 thru 9, program "0" automactically cycles thru all nine programs.

5. Dimmer Master:
Slider controls maximum output levels of all four channels.
6. Background:
Slider controls background level of all four channels.
7. Program speed:
Slider controls chase speed in "Program Speed" mode.
8. Full On:
Turns on all four channels at maximum output.
9. Standby:
Stops all outputs.
10. Speed x 10:
Used with program speed slider (7) to offer two levels of speed.
11. Sensitivity:
Sets the minimum level of slider output.
12. Audio Input:
Level for audio control input 200mV-1500mV
13. Signal Output:
0-10V output for controlling external power packs.
14. Maximum output power: 1500W resistive load
700W inductive load
4-channel maximun power: 4600W
15. In the Hold Dim mode if you use a total of more than 3000W you must make sure your plugs is large
enough.
16. Output is via 4 safety plugs with the following assignment:
