UBI EasyCoder 101 – Installation Instructions

EXTERNAL PAPER ROLL HOLDER

The optional external paper roll holder can be fitted in the guide

rails either at the top or at the rear of any printer in the UBI

EasyCoder 101 family. The holder is kept firmly affixed by the

locking screw. Thread the web as illustrated below, using the

upper one of the two external paper intakes slots.

The holder is intended to accommodate a paper roll with a

maximum diameter of 180 mm (≈ 7"). When using dispensing

labels or self-adhesive strip, keep in mind that the standard type

of internal rewind unit cannot accommodate all the backing

paper from a full-sized external label roll. Thus, the rewind unit

should be checked regularly and be cleared two or three times

per label roll.

Be careful not to allow the external paper roll be contaminated

by airborne sand or grit, which may cause damage to the delicate

printhead. Always remove or cover the paper roll when cleaning

the premises, especially when dusting or sweeping the floor!
