ConvertingtoSide-Discharge
Operation
Toconvertthemowerbacktoside-dischargeoperation,
completethefollowingprocedure:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Makesurethatallmovingpartshavestoppedandthe
sparkplugwirehasbeendisconnected.
Note:Allowtheunittocoolbeforestartingthese
instructions.
3.Removethebaggerfromtheunitifequipped.
4.Tiptheunitrearwardontoitshandle.
5.Cleanoutanygrassbuildupfromundersideofdeck.
6.Removethesidedischargecover.
7.Removethemulchbafeassemblyanditshardware.
8.Installstandardbladesiflow-liftbladeswereused.
9.Installtheowcontrolbafeanditshardware.
10.Installthesidedischargechuteanditshardware.
DANGER
Anuncovereddischargeopeningwillallow
objectstobethrowninthedirectionofthe
operatororbystanders.Also,contactwiththe
bladescouldoccur.Thrownobjectsorblade
contactcancauseseriousinjuryordeath.
Neveroperatethemachinewithoutthe
side-dischargedeectororside-discharge
chuteinplaceandworkingproperly.
11.Installthebaggerorrear-dischargeplugfromthe
machine.
WARNING
Ensurethateithertherear-dischargeplugor
thegrassbaghasbeeninstalledbeforeyou
turnonthemachine.Neverengagetheblades
withouteithertherear-dischargeplugorthe
grassbaginstalled.
