PAGE 1
GENERAL
Q. WHY WOULD YOU USE A REMOVABLE COATING?
A. A removable coating such as Rust-Oleum® FlexiDip™ allows for a unique custom and
protective feature while providing the consumer the option to remove if needed.
Q. WHERE CAN FLEXIDIP™ BE USED?
A. FlexiDip™ can be virtually used anywhere. From customizing your vehicle or home décor
items to adding protection and grip to tools and home accessories, FlexiDip™ is an ideal

option for customizing wheel rims, front grills, interior consoles, hoods, bumpers and more. In
addition, the product will work on tool handles, gardening tools, decorative items and

Q. WHAT TYPE OF SURFACES CAN I PAINT WITH FLEXIDIP™?
A. FlexiDip™ is great for metal, plastic, glass & tight grained wood. It can be used on porous
surfaces as long as removing the product is not the intent. The smoother the surface to be
painted, the easier the removal will be.

become brittle and will retain optimal performance even in the harshest conditions.

product is not adversely affected by road salt or other severe conditions.
PREP
Q. WHAT PREP WORK GOES INTO USING FLEXIDIP™?
A. Mask off around the area to be coated. For wheel rims, the use of index cards works great
in between the tire and the rim to avoid overspray. Although the product has the unique feature
of removability, light overspray may prove to be difficult to remove especially from rubber tires.
Q. WHEN SHOULD THE MASKING TAPE BE REMOVED?
A. In order to produce nice, clean lines of the FlexiDip™ coating, it is recommended to remove
the masking tape when the last coat is still wet. If for some reason, the product dries before the
removing of the tape, light spray the edge of where the tape and coating meet and quickly
remove. The coating typically begins to dry 5-10 minutes in between coats.
