Safety
• Check your local regulations regarding mobile phone and handsfree use in
combination with driving or in other situations which may require your extra attention.
• Shut off both theheadset and mobile phone in areas where you are required to do so,
such as in hospitals, aeroplanes or in areas where there is therisk of explosion.
• Protect theheadset from extreme heat, cold and moisture.
• Never subject theheadset to strong vibrations, knocks or blows.
• Do not dismantle theheadset or its accessories. This product contains no parts
that you can repair yourself.
• Only use thesupplied charge cable.
Protecting your hearing
• Long-term exposure to high volume can cause permanent hearing loss.
• Do not wear theheadset when first turning it on as it can produce aloud sharp
popping noise when turned on.
• Make it ahabit to turn down theheadset volume before turning it off.
• Take off theheadset when turning theconnected audio source (stereo, mobile,
computer, etc.) on/off or when plugging into or unplugging from these sources.

Getting started
Charging
Note: Charge theheadset for 7 hours before
using it for thefirst time. The headset cannot be
connected via Bluetooth when thecharge cable is
connected.
1. Connect theincluded charge cable to
theheadset and then to aUSB port.
The red LED will then come on.
2. Normal charge time for theheadset is 5 hours.
3. The LED will turn off once thebattery is fully
charged.
Power on/off
Power on:
Press and hold [ ] for 3 seconds to turn theheadset on. The blue LED will begin
flashing and anaudible signal will be emitted.
Power off:
Depress and hold [ ] until thered LED starts to flash. The red LED will flash when
turning off theunit and anaudible signal will be heard.
Note: The headset will automatically turn off after 5 minutes in order to save battery
capacity if no signal is received.
Connecting to a mobile phone or other Bluetooth device
1. Make sure that theheadset is turned off (no LEDs lit).
2. Hold in [ ] for about 5 seconds until theLED begins alternatively flashing between
red and blue, and then release.

3. Activate Bluetooth on thedevice to be paired and place it into search mode.
4. The headset will appear as “BMHX40” on your device. Select this as thedevice
to be connected and establish aconnection. Refer to your device’s instruction
manual if you are unsure.
Note: If you are prompted to enter aPIN code on your mobile phone, you should
enter “0000” (four noughts). Certain mobile phones may even require you to approve
theconnection.
When theconnection is successful, theLED will flash blue in two second intervals and
anaudible signal will be heard.
Note: The headset’s Bluetooth mode will be active for about 1½ min. The headset
will automatically turn off if it does not establish contact with another Bluetooth device
within this time frame.
• Once theheadset connects to any Bluetooth device it will be stored into memory
and connect automatically to that device again if it is within range (max 10 m)
provided that both devices are on and that Bluetooth is activated on your device.
• The headset will automatically try to connect to thelast connected Bluetooth
device. If you desire to connect to another Bluetooth device, first turn off
theBluetooth feature on thecurrent device and repeat theconnecting procedure
with theother device.
Operating instructions
The headband is adjustable. Extend it to thecorrect size.
Place theside with thecontrols over theright ear.
Music playback
You can use thefollowing controls to control theplayback of your
mobile or any other Bluetooth connected device:

Call management
Note: Refer your mobile phone’s owner’s manual for instructions on how to connect
to theheadset.
Once your mobile is connected via Bluetooth, you can use thefollowing controls to
control call management:
• Answering calls: Press [
].
• Ending calls: Press [ ].
• Calling: Calls will be automatically transferred to theheadset when calling from
your phone.
• Voice activatation: Press and hold [ ] for about 2 sec. Valid only if your mobile
supports this function.

• Redial: Press [ ] twice. Valid only if your mobile supports this function.
• Call blocking: Press [ ] twice to block theincoming call. Valid only if your mobile
supports this function.
• Volume control: Adjusts theheadsets volume with the[ + ] and [ - ].buttons.
3.5 mm audio cable
Connect theheadset to your device’s 3.5 mm socket using thesupplied audio cable.
The headset cannot be connected via Bluetooth when theaudio cable is connected.
Care and maintenance
Clean theheadset using alightly moistened cloth. Only use mild cleaning agents,
never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
Troubleshooting guide
The headset cannot
be turned on.
• Charge theheadset’s battery. Connect thecharge cable to
theheadset and aUSB charge source. See the Charging
section.
No sound. • Adjust thevolume both on thedevice and headset.
• Make sure that theBluetooth connection is functioning
properly. See theConnecting to amobile phone or other
Bluetooth device.
• Test theplayback from your external device before
connecting it to eliminate it as thesource of theproblem.
• Try playback using another file. The file you are attempting
to play may be damaged.
• Make sure thedevices are within range of each other.
The distance between them may not exceed 10 m.

This product should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your local authority.
