The Sound of Entertainment
HT800
High Tecnologies Series
STEREO POWER AMPLIFIER
GENERALITIES
The stereo power amplifier HT800 has been designed
for the special needs in the professional field,
according to criteria of maximum reliability and
functionality for use.
The stages of output, to complementary symmetry,
adopt largely oversized components, to guarantee a
continuous service even in critical conditions of use.
For a better dispersion of internal heat, the cooling
system is a ventilation system proportional to the
temperature.
The inputs are electronically balanced.
The HT800 is provided with an integral protection
against overloading and continuous current in output.
It also has thermic protection which puts the unit on
standby until conditions return to normal working
temperatures.
A device for late insertion prevents transient on the
diffusers from switching on until the end (typical
“bump” of the loudspeakers).
The equipping with controls provides for independent
volume controls, led indicators of clipping (saturation
of final transistors), of protection intervention and
‘power on’ light.
The input channels use the Cannon XLR connectors;
the output line with pressure terminals and speakon .
A Bridge connection is possible in the stages of output
and connection with more units via auxiliary outputs
at 0 dB.
POWER SUPPLY
It is designed to run off a power supply of 230 V -
50/60 Hz. If the unit does not work when switched on,
check the protection fuse and eventually replace it
with a T10A retarder.
INPUT
On the back panel are the input for the right channel
(Channel2) and the left channel (Channel1) to connect
to the preamplification system. I connectors used are
Cannon (for the connection plans refer to fig . 2).
There are also 2 outputs LINK at 0dB for the not-linear
connection of several units. The connectors used are
6mm stereo jacks.
OUTPUT
The diffusers are connectable, respecting the phases
+ e - , to traditional pressure terminals and speakon
connectors (fig.2).
A bridge connection is possible in the stages of
output (fig.4).
The diffuser impedance must not be inferior to 4 Ohm,
so avoiding overloading and possible breakdown in
the final stages. With a Bridge connection, the
minimum impedance minima must be 8 Ohm.

(4)
PROTECTION
Protection intervention indicator light. Due to
the device intervention of the late diffuser
insertion, the indicator light remains on for a
brief instant at the switching on of the end.
During normal working, the indicator light
signals direct current or short circuit. (In which
case you need to seek professional help to
check the equipment)
(5)
CLIP
Saturation indicator of the end stages.
If the light remains on for a long time, you
need to reduce the volume of the output
signal. The light flickering briefly is put down to
temporary musical tapping, which can easily
be tolerated by the end stage.
(6)
FUSE
Protection fuse on the power network 220V.
