apparatus from power, you must disconnect the power

SET UP
How to insert Dock Adaptors:
You need to install the appropriate dock
adaptor in the dock to allow your iPod to
correctly fit the i30 music system. The dock
inserts are supplied with the product and are
labeled accordingly:

Locate the appropriate dock adaptor for your
iPod and then fit it to the dock by pressing on
both sides of the insert until it sits firmly in place.
Note: If there is no dock adapter for your model of iPod
included with your Tannoy i30 you can
purchase one at www.apple.com/ipodstore.
If you have an iPod shuffle or an older iPod that
does not have a dock connector on the bottom,
you can use the supplied audio cable to connect
it to the audio input socket at the rear
of the product. (See page 16)

Connect the Tannoy i30 music system to a power outlet by pluging
the small connector end of the power cable into the socket at back
of the i30. Plug the other end of this cable into the wall outlet.

USING YOUR TANNOY i30
Now that you have docked your iPod, you are ready to start playing
your music!
Just browse for a song on your iPod, then press Play it’s that
simple! You can use the buttons on your iPod or on the included
i30 remote control.

How to connect an iPod shuffle or other audio devices to your
Tannoy i30 music system
If your iPod doesn’t have a dock connector (e.g. if you have an
iPod shuffle), you can use the supplied stereo mini-jack audio
cable to connect it to the audio input socket at the rear of the i30.
This audio socket also allows any mp3 player or line-level source
signal to be connected to your Tannoy i30.
WARNING:
Distortion may occur if you connect your
Tannoy i30 to a device with an output higher than 2V (volts) RMS.
Do not connect your Tannoy i30 to the speaker
outputs from another device as this would damage your
Tannoy i30.

How to connect your Tannoy i30 to your computer
The Tannoy i30 has a USB socket at the rear which allows you to
synchronise your iPod with iTunes while the iPod is docked in the
i30 docking station. To use this feature, simply
connect a USB (A) male to USB (B) male cable (not supplied)
between your computer and Tannoy i30.

How to use the Video-out feature
If your iPod supports video you can use your television to
view your videos stored on your iPod. To do this, simply dock
your iPod in the i30 docking station then connect a phono
(RCA) cable between the video-out socket on the
Tannoy i30 and the Video-In socket on your television or
AV receiver.
Note: RCA cable not supplied.

Attach wall bracket to Tannoy
i30 using screws and washers
provided.
Using provided template and
fixings appropriate to your
wall, fix the product to your
wall using the picture hook
fixing points on the bracket.
HOW TO FIT THE OPTIONAL WALL BRACKET
An i30 wall bracket is available as an optional accessory. If
you have purchased an i30 wall bracket please follow these
installation instructions.
Safety note: The user is responsible for fixing the hardware to the surface
to ensure safe operation. The fixings must support the weight of the
product - please consult the user manual’s specification page for the
appropriate weight.
