Windows and doors can be heavy. Use safe
lifting techniques and a reasonable number
of people with enough strength to lift, carry,
and install window and door products.
Heavier windows and doors will require
mechanical assistance. Failure to do so could
result in injury, product or property damage.
WARNING
1. Remove Sash
Refer to Sash Replacement Guide for sash removal.
Use caution when working at elevated
heights and around window and door
openings. Follow the manufacturers’
instructions for ladders and scaffolding.
Failure to do so could result in injury or
death.

Follow manufacturers’ instructions for hand
and power tools. Always wear safety glasses.

2. Remove Existing Weatherstrip
Pull existing weatherstrip out of kerf in
awning or casement sash.
Properly dispose of weatherstrip.

3. Install Leaf Weatherstrip
Position rst notch of leaf weatherstrip at upper left
corner of sash (as viewed from the interior).
Push stem of leaf weatherstrip into kerf on top rail of
sash until seated.
Continue installation of leaf weatherstrip around
perimeter of sash. Make sure notches are positioned at
each corner.
Trim the end of the leaf weatherstrip to length as
needed so the weatherstrip ends are touching but
do not overlap when fully installed.

Position rst notch of leaf weatherstrip at bottom
corner of hinge side of sash.
Push stem of leaf weatherstrip into kerf on hinge stile
of sash until seated.
Continue installation of leaf weatherstrip around
perimeter of sash. Make sure notches are positioned
at each corner.
Trim the end of the leaf weatherstrip to length as
needed so the weatherstrip ends are touching but
do not overlap when fully installed.
