This premium installation kit is for 2006-13 Lexus
IS
series vehicles without navigation. Included are
all
the parts you need
to
mount
an
Aftermarket head unit into your vehicle's dash. Refer
to
individual
instruction
in
this manual
to
remove your vehicle's factory radio and assemble the
kit.

Vent Locking Tabs General Locations
INSTALLATION GUIDE Disassembly
Using a PRT (Panel Removal
Tool) remove side trim panels
on
each side
of
the center console
(Shaded Areas).

Disassembly
Unscrew the shift knob.
Using a
PRT
remove the center
console top panel to prevent
damaging
it,
then remove any
wires and gently set aside for later
reassembly.
Extract 2 Screws securing the
ashtray to the center console; then
remove the ashtray.
Using a picking tool, push down
on the locking tabs at the top
of
the A/C vents to release the vent
panel from the dash. Remove the
vent panel then unplug any wires
attached.

the
factory
TPMS
(Tire
Pressure
Monitoring

and
it's
bracket
from
behind
the
OEM
radio
panel
and
mount
it
to
the
back
of
the
left
bracket.
NOTE:
Use
factory
(OEM)
screw(s)
for
this
part of
the
assembly.

Once
the
radio
& TPMS
is
mounted
to
the
brackets,
connect
all
wiring.
Then
using
the
OEM
(4x)10mm
bolts
secure

radio
panel
assembly
to
the
vehicle.
Lastly,
reinstall
everything
in
reverse
order
to
complete
the
installation

The Scosche ITCLS01 B Lexus IS Series face
panel comes with a steering wheel control harness
that will retain the vehicles OEM steering wheel
capabilities when equipped. Refer to the wiring
diagrams on pages 5 (SWC Wiring Diagrma) &
6 (HVAC wiring diagram) for a connection guide.
For a more detailed understanding
of
the steering
wheel controls, please refer to your vehicles
owner
manual for button functionalities.

Prepare SWC steering wheel connector harness by using the chart below
2. Connect the harness to the interface module.
3.
For Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Panasonic and Sony car stereos, connect the 3.5mm male steering plug
into the steering wheel input jack at the back
of
the stereo.
4. For Kenwood and newer JVC stereos, connect the BROWN wire from the steering wheel harness

Use the UP and DOWN arrows (Fig. 4, #1, 2, 5 & 6) on the color TFT touch screen to
adjust vehicle air temperature. Touch the Red <Up> arrow to increase air temp. Touch
Up(Red)
the Blue <Down> arrow to decrease air temp. The temperature indicator will move up
v
or
down indicating the current temperature level. The temperature range
is
color-coded:
Red indicates warmer air and Blue indicates cooler air.
Numeric temperature indicator reads the prefered set temperature selected by the user
(Driver
or
Passenger).

Fan Off, turns off all fan settings (No fan air-flow)
¢ Press the
Air
Conditioning Button (Fig. 4, #8) to turn the Air Conditioning On or Off. A light
will illuminate in the button indicating the on/off status
of
the A/C.

decrease fan speed, press the Fan - button (Fig. 4, #9). A graphic level indicator will
move down on the
colorTFTscreen
indicating the current fan speed (see Fig. 4, #11).
NOTE:
There
will still
be
a single
graphic
bar
displayed even
though
fan
may
be
off.

increase fan speed, press the fan speed Fan + button (Fig. 4, #10). A graphic level
indicator will move up on the color TFT screen indicating the current fan speed (see Fig.
4,

).
There are a total
of
6 fan speed increments from off to maximum.

Fan has a total of 6 fan speeds increments from off to maximum. The bars will adjust
according to fan speed chosen by the user.

Version.
The air conditioning system switches between individual and simultaneous modes
each time the DUAL button is pressed.
The air conditioning system will begin to operate.
Air
outlets and fan speed are
automatically adjusted according to the temperature setting.
Press the recirculation button (Fig.
5,
#5) to turn on air recirculation. A light will
illuminate in the button indicating the on/off status
of
the Recirculate mode. Interior air
~
will be re-circulated inside the vehicle. This mode helps to quickly cool the air inside
the vehicle
or
prevent outside air and odors from entering. Operating recirculation
mode [while the A/C is off] increases humidity and may cause the windows to fog.
Recirculation is not available in the Defrost
or
Defog modes.
Press the Defrost (Fig.
5,
#6) to turn Defrost On
or
Off. This configuration helps clear
~
front windshield
of
fog or moisture.
Air
will be directed to the windshield. A light will
illuminate in the button indicating the on/off status
of
the Defrost mode.
NOTE:
For
best
results
clear
the
windows
of
snow
or
ice
before
defrost
settings.

Press the Rear window defogger button (Fig.

#7) to turn the rear window defogger on
or
off. A light will illuminate
in
the button indicating the on/off status
of
the Defrost mode.
Rear defogger will also be turned off by turning the ignition to the OFF position.
P':+. Microdust and Pollen Filter (Fig.
5,
#8) switches the outside air mode to recirculated air

mode. Pollen is removed from the air and the air flows to the upper part
of
the body
