Thank you for purchasing the Polaroid iE877 iZone Selfiecam with WiFi. Everything you need to
take high definition digital videos and photos is included with your pocket sized Optical Zoom
Camera/Camcorder.
This unique, ultraportable camera design is adapted specifically for this camera and can be used
to capture special moments in many different environments.
Polaroid makes capturing those special moments as easy as possible.
Please read this manual carefully first in order to get the most out of your digital
camera/camcorder.
Note:
Your digital camera/camcorder supports a Class 4 or higher Micro SD card with a capacity
expansion up to 32GB.
In order to use your digital camera/camcorder normally, please insert the Micro SD Memory
card before use. Please format the Micro SD Memory Card before first use.
Micro SD Memory cards are not included and need to be purchased separately.
This camera/camcorder is a plug and play device. You can download the pictures and videos
without the software by directly accessing the camera’s memory card from your computer. We
would however recommend that you install the Polaroid Instant Memories software to enjoy
the full Polaroid experience.

To Charge the Battery:
1. Power off the camera.
2. Connect the camera using the supplied
Micro USB cable to the computer’s USB
port or to the AC Adapter (which is then
connected to a standard wall socket).
3. Allow the battery to charge for at least 3
hours before using the first time.
4. The charge light (blue) turns off when the
battery is fully charged.

Important: You must use a Class 4

1) Charging the Battery
To charge your battery, first connect the Micro USB Cable to your camera.
Then follow one of the steps below:
A) Charging Using Your Computer:
Charge the battery using the Micro USB connection cable (included) and your
computer:
- Connect one end of the USB cable into the USB port on your camera.
Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB port on your computer.
B) Charging Using the AC Adapter:
Charge the battery using the USB connection cable (included) and the AC Adapter
(included).
- Connect one end of the USB cable into the USB port on your camera.
- Connect the other end to the AC Adapter and then plug the AC Adapter into a power
socket.

Note: While charging the battery, the LED charging indicator light turns on (blue light
appears). The battery is fully charged when the LED light turns off.
Battery Indicator:
Description
The battery level is full.
The battery level is half.
The battery level is low, indicating to prepare for
recharging the built-in lithium battery.
Once ‘Low Battery’ appears on the LCD, this indicates
that the battery level is completely exhausted and the
camera automatically turns off after a few seconds.
Please fully recharge the battery.
Note: When the battery capacity drops to a low level, the battery icon will flash on the
display, indicating that the camera requires to be recharged. Please charge the battery.
When the battery icon flickers, the camera will shut down automatically.

2) Installing the Micro SD Memory Card
Make sure a High Speed Class 4 or higher Micro SD Memory card has been properly
inserted into your camera. A Micro SD Card must be inserted before use.
Micro SD Memory card not included.
To properly insert the SD Card:
Power off the camera.
Insert the Micro SD Card into the Micro SD Card slot in the direction as shown above.
Gently press the Micro SD Card until you hear a slight clicking sound. This indicates the
memory card has been inserted correctly.
To remove the card, gently press on the edge of the card to release it and pull the card
out.
IMPORTANT:
Please power the camera off before installing or taking out the memory card.
If the card is inserted or removed while the camera’s power is on, it may damage the card
and/or any recorded data. Always confirm that the power is off before inserting the card
into the camera.
Make sure there is room on the Micro SD Memory Card for additional images. If the Micro
SD Memory Card is full, additional images will not be added to the memory card.
3) Powering On Off / Energy Save
Powering On:
Long press the POWER/MODE button to turn on the camera.
The LCD displays turns on and a sound can be heard from the cameras speaker.

Long press the POWER/MODE button to turn off the camera.
The LCD displays turns off and a sound can be heard from the camera’s speaker.
Energy Save:
Your camera also has an auto power off feature that will automatically turn off your camera
after a specific period of time that your camera is left idle. The auto power off settings can be
set from the ‘Power Save’ settings menu.

Your camera has different modes for the various camera functions.
Short press the Power/Mode button to toggle between the camera/camcorder modes.
Use this mode to capture videos with your digital camera.
To record a video, please check that the DV is in Video mode. If the video icon is not
displayed on the LCD screen, short press the Power/Mode button repeatedly until it
appears. To start recording, press the Shutter/OK button. Press the Shutter/OK button
again to stop recording. The video is automatically saved to your camera’s memory card.
Use this mode to capture pictures with your camera.
To take a photo, please check that the DV is in Photo mode. If the photo icon is not
displayed on the LCD screen, short press the Power/Mode button repeatedly until it
appears. Press the Shutter/OK button to capture your photo. The picture is automatically
saved to your camera’s memory card.
Use this mode to view and manage your captured videos and photos via your camera.
Please check that the DV is in Playback mode. If the Playback icon is not displayed on
the LCD screen, short press the Power/Mode button repeatedly until it appears.
Note: Your captured images can be also viewed either on the computer, on your television
or your mobile device.
Playback Mode on the Computer: After turning on your camera, connect it to your
computer via the supplied USB cable to view the images on your computer.
Mobile Device: After downloading the Sakar iZone app to your mobile device and
connecting it via Wi-Fi to your camera, tap the Playback icon to view your captured images.

You can purchase the iE877 waterproof casing for underwater action and added durability.
Waterproof case sold separately. To assemble your camera to the case, follow the instructions
below:
1. Before placing the camera into the waterproof casing and before capturing your images:
- Power on you camera.
- Select the camera mode and settings as desired.
- Set the zoom as desired.
2. To open the case: Insert a finger at the half circle of the latch by prying the latch up - away
from the case.
3. Insert the camera lens forward into the case.
4. Before sealing the waterproof casing, make sure the camera housing’s rubber seal clean.
Close the door and secure the latch.
5. While the camera is in the waterproof casing, press the SHUTTER button for recording
your videos and capturing your photos.
To continue capturing images when the camera powers off while in the casing, please
remove the camera from the casing and power on the camera. Then return the camera to
the casing, close the casing securely and continue capturing your images.
Note:
Make sure to power on the camera and set the desired camera settings before inserting the
camera into the case. If the camera powers off while in the case, please remove the camera
from the case, power on the camera, and then return the camera to the case.
A single hair or grain of sand can cause a leak. You can test by closing the case without
inserting the camera. Submerse the case completely in water for about a minute. Remove the
case from the water, dry off its exterior with a towel, and then open the case. If the entire
interior is dry, the case is safe for use under water.
Before opening the waterproof casing and putting the device in, carefully check whether the
waterproof ring of the casing is flat and smooth.
After placing the device into the waterproof casing and closing the cover, carefully check
whether the waterproof ring is deformed due to pressure.
After every use in salt water you will need to rinse the outside of the housing with non-salt

water and dry. Not doing this can eventually cause corrosion of the hinge pin and salt buildup
in the seal, which can cause failure.
To clean the seal, rinse in fresh water and shake dry (drying with a cloth may cause lint to
compromise the seal). Re-install the seal into the grooves of the housing.

Your camera has three main modes:
1. Photo Capture Mode - Use this mode to capture photos with your camera.
2. Video Capture Mode - Use this mode to capture videos with your camera.
3. Playback Mode (for photos and videos) - Use this mode to view the photos and videos
you have already taken with your camera.
When the camera is first powered ON, the Photo Capture Mode will be active.
The icons that appear on the LCD screen are the best default settings so that you can begin to
capture and enjoy clear quality photos and videos.
To change the active camera mode, make sure the camera is powered ON and short press the
MODE button.
When in Photo Capture Mode, this icon will display on the top-left corner of the LCD display
When in Video Capture Mode, this icon will display on the top-left corner of the LCD display
When in Playback Mode, this icon will display on the top-left corner of the LCD display

To access the Main Menu for the Photo Capture, Video Capture and Playback Modes:
1. Short press the MENU (Wi-Fi) button to open the Main Menu for the current, selected
mode.
2. Press the DOWN or UP button to select a specific menu.
The selected option appears highlighted.
3. Press the SHUTTER/OK button to confirm and open your menu selection. The options for
the menu you have selected appears.
4. To select a specific option, press the DOWN or UP button until your selection is
highlighted and then press the SHUTTER/OK button to save the selected option and
return to the menu screen.
Note:
A check mark appears by the saved submenu setting.
To go back from the submenus or exit the Main Menu, short press the MENU button.
To access the General Camera Settings Menu:
1. Short press the MENU (Wi-Fi) button to open the Main Menu for the current, selected
mode.
2. Short press the MODE (POWER) button to select the tab with the General Camera
Settings icon .
Note: If you have already highlighted a menu item and would like to enter the Settings
Menu, press the UP/DOWN button until there is no menu item highlighted. This indicates
that the top, left current tab (Video, Photo, or Playback) is selected. You can now short
press the MODE (POWER) button to switch to the Settings tab.
3. Press the DOWN or UP button to select a specific menu.
The selected option appears highlighted.
4. Press the SHUTTER/OK button to confirm and open your menu selection. The options for

the menu you have selected appears.
5. To select a specific option, press the DOWN or UP button until your selection is
highlighted and then press the SHUTTER/OK button to save the selected option and
return to the menu screen.
Note:
A check mark appears by the saved submenu setting.
At any time you can short press the MENU button to exit the menus and return to the
previous screen.
Once you change a setting, the setting is saved by your camera until you manually change
the setting or restore the camera’s default factory settings.
After selecting your desired setting, some settings appear as an icon on the LCD screen
indicating the option selected.

There are several Flash options available on your camera. The selected option appears on the
Photo Capture Mode LCD screen.
To change the Flash mode:
1. Short press MENU button while in Photo Capture Mode.
2. Press the DOWN or UP button until the ‘Flash’ option is selected.
3. Press the OK/SHUTTER button to enter the Flash options
4. Press the DOWN or UP button to select and highlight the desired Flash option.
5. Press the OK/SHUTTER button to select and save the desired Flash option and to then
return to the Photo Capture Menu screen.
Important:
When using Flash, stand between 8 to 10 feet away from the scene you would like to capture.
The MACRO mode must be turned OFF when you want to use the Flash.
To change the Macro setting: Select ‘Macro’ from the Photo Capture Mode Menu, then select
the ‘OFF’ Macro setting option.
Flash Type
Description
Forced Off (Default)
No flash will appear.
Use this when you do not want to activate Flash.
Forced Flash
The flash is enabled for each photo.
Note: If you use this option in a well-lit environment, your photo
may be appear too bright/light (overexposed).
A
Auto Flash
When you want the camera to determine if Flash is needed, select
Auto Flash.
The flash will automatically turn on according to the lighting
conditions.
When the LED light stops blinking, the Flash is ready for use.
Red Eye Reduction
Eliminates the red-eye effect in a photo caused by flash.

MACRO ON :
Your camera contains a MACRO feature that allows you to enable or disable the MACRO mode
on your camera. When enabled, the MACRO mode allows your camera to focus on an object that
is close to the camera. While using the MACRO mode, you can capture images at close range
(30~45cm). The flower icon appears on the LCD and indicates that the Macro mode is ON.
To turn the MACRO mode ON:
1. Open the Photo Capture Mode Menu and press the MENU button.
2. Select the ‘Macro’ menu option and press the OK/SHUTTER button to view the MACRO
menu options.
3. Press the UP/DOWN button, select ‘ON’, and then press the OK/SHUTTER button to save
the Macro ‘ON’ function.
MACRO OFF :
When MACRO mode is off, images can be captured from 1.5m - (infinity).
The ‘Auto Focus’ icon appears on the LCD and indicates that the Macro mode is OFF.
To turn the MACRO mode OFF for normal/standard photo capture:
1. Open the Photo Capture Mode Menu and press the MENU button.
2. Select the ‘Macro’ menu option and press the OK/SHUTTER button to view the MACRO
menu options.
3. Press the DOWN or UP button, select ‘OFF’, and then press the OK/SHUTTER
button to save the Macro ‘OFF function.
Note: The MACRO mode must be turned OFF when you want to use the following feature of your
camera: Flash.
