5. Troubleshooting
Following areafewcommonproblemsthatmay occurduringoperation.Here
aresomesuggestions foreasytroubleshooting:
A. Theunitdoesnot work,nolight andthe fandoesnot work
1. Checkthe connectionofpower andmainfuse.
2. Measurethe mainsvoltage on themainconnector.
3. Checkthe poweronLED.
B. Notresponding to DMXcontroller
1. DMXLED should be on.Ifnot,check DMXconnectorsand cables to seeiflinkproperly.
2. If theDMX LED is on andnoresponsetothe channel, checkthe addresssettingsand
DMX polarity.
3. If youhaveintermittentDMX signal problems,check thepinsonconnectorsoronPCB of the
unit or thepreviousone.
4. Trytouse anotherDMX controller.
5. Checkifthe DMXcablesrun near or runalongside to high voltagecablesthatmay cause
damage or interference to DMXinterface circuit.
C. Oneofthe channels is notworking well
1. Thestepper motormight be damagedorthe cableconnected to thePCB is broken.
2. Themotor’s driveIConthe PCBmight be outofcondition.
6.Fixture Cleaning
Thecleaningmustbecarried outperiodicallytooptimize light output.Cleaning
frequencydepends on theenvironment in whichthe fixtureoperates: damp,smoky or
particularly dirtysurroundingcan causegreater accumulation of dirt on the unit’soptics.
Cleanwithsoftcloth usingnormalglass cleaning fluid.
Always drythe partscarefully.
Cleanthe external optics at leastevery 30 days.

Unpack andcheck carefully thereisnotransportationdamagebeforeusing the unit.
Before operating, ensure that thevoltage andfrequency of powersupplymatch thepower
requirements of theunit.
It’s importanttogroundthe yellow/green conductor to earthinorder to avoidelectricshock.
Theunitisfor indoor useonly. Useonlyinadrylocation.
Theunitmustbeinstalled in alocationwithadequateventilation,atleast 50cm from adjacent
surfaces.Besurethatnoventilation slotsare blocked.
Disconnect main powerbeforereplacement or servicing.
Make surethere arenoflammable materialsclose to theunitwhile operatingasitisfirehazard.
Usesafetycableswhenfixingthis unit. DO NOThandlethe unit by itsheadonly, always carryby
itsbase.
Maximumambient temperatureisTa: 40 degreesC.DONOT operateitwhere thetemperature
is higher than this.
Unit surfacetemperature mayreach up to 75 degreesC.DONOT touchthe housingwith
bare-hands duringits operation. Turn offthe powerand allowabout 15 minutes forthe unitto
cool down before replacingorserving.
In theevent of aserious operatingproblem,stopusing the unitimmediately. Nevertry to repair
theunitbyyourself. Repairscarried outbyunskilled people canleadtodamageormalfunction.

spareparts.

timesofthe fixtures weight.Alwaysuse asafetycable that canhold12times of theweightof
thefixture when installing.

theUP/DOWNbuttontoadjustthe valuefrom125 to 255,press theENTERbuttontosetup. Pressthe MENU

Dimmer Curve
To select Dimmer Curve,press theENTERbuttontoshowthe DIMMERCURVE on thedisplay,use the
UP/DOWNbutton to select Linear,Square Law,InverseSqu. or S-curve.Onceselected, pressthe ENTER
buttontostore.Press theMENU buttonbacktothe last menu or letthe unit idle oneminutetoexitmenu
mode.
Linear: Theincreaseinlight intensityappears to be linearasDMX valueisincreased.
Square Law: Lightintensity controlisfiner at lowlevelsand coarserathighlevels.
InverseSquare Law: Lightintensity controliscoarser at lowlevelsand finger at high levels.
S-cure:Lightintensity controlisfingeratlow levels andhighlevelsand coarseratmediumlevels.
1. If youusing acontrollerwith5pins DMXoutput, youneed to usea5to3pinadapter-cable.
2. Thelastunits DMX cablehas to be terminated with a120 ohm1/4W resistor between pin
2(DMX-)and pin3(DMX+) of a3-pin XLR-plug andplugitinthe DMX-output of thelast unit.
3. Connect theunittogetherina`daisy chain` by XLRplugfromthe output of theunittothe
inputofthe next unit.The cablecan notbranchedorsplit to a`Y` cable. DMX512 is avery
high-speed signal.Inadequate or damagedcables, soldered joints or corrodedconnectorscan
easily distortthe signal andshut down thesystem.
4. The DMX output andinput connectors arepass-throughtomaintainthe DMXcircuit,when
oneofthe units’ powerisdisconnected.
5. Each fixtureunitneedstohaveanaddressset to receivethe data sent by thecontroller. The
addressnumberisbetween 0-511 (usually 0&1are equalto1).
6. Theend of theDMX 512 system should be terminated to reducesignalerrors.
7. 3pin XLRconnectorsare more popularthan5pinXLR.
3pin XLR: Pin1:GND,Pin 2: Negative signal (-), Pin3:Positivesignal(+)
5pin XLR: Pin1:GND,Pin 2: Negative signal (-), Pin3:Positivesignal(+),
Pin4/Pin5:Not used.
4.2AddressSetting
If youuse a universal DMX controllertocontrol theunits,you have to set DMX addressfrom
1to512 so that the units canreceive DMX signal.
Pressthe MENU buttontoenter menu mode,selectDMXFunctions,press theENTERbutton
to confirm, usethe UP/DOWN buttontoselectDMXAddress,press theENTERbuttonto
confirm, thepresent addresswill blinkonthe display, usethe UP/DOWN buttontoadjustthe
addressfrom 001 to 512, andpress theENTERbutton to store. Pressthe MENU buttonbackto
thelastmenuorlet theunitidle7seconds to exit menu mode.

Linear: Theincreaseinlight intensityappears to be linearasDMX valueisincreased.
Square Law: Lightintensity controlisfiner at lowlevelsand coarserathighlevels.
InverseSquare Law: Lightintensity controliscoarser at lowlevelsand finger at high levels.
S-cure:Lightintensity controlisfingeratlow levels andhighlevelsand coarseratmediumlevels.
1. If youusing acontrollerwith5pins DMXoutput, youneed to usea5to3pinadapter-cable.
2. Thelastunits DMX cablehas to be terminated with a120 ohm1/4W resistor between pin
2(DMX-)and pin3(DMX+) of a3-pin XLR-plug andplugitinthe DMX-output of thelast unit.
3. Connect theunittogetherina`daisy chain` by XLRplugfromthe output of theunittothe
inputofthe next unit.The cablecan notbranchedorsplit to a`Y` cable. DMX512 is avery
high-speed signal.Inadequate or damagedcables, soldered joints or corrodedconnectorscan
easily distortthe signal andshut down thesystem.
4. The DMX output andinput connectors arepass-throughtomaintainthe DMXcircuit,when
oneofthe units’ powerisdisconnected.
5. Each fixtureunitneedstohaveanaddressset to receivethe data sent by thecontroller. The
addressnumberisbetween 0-511 (usually 0&1are equalto1).
6. Theend of theDMX 512 system should be terminated to reducesignalerrors.
7. 3pin XLRconnectorsare more popularthan5pinXLR.
3pin XLR: Pin1:GND,Pin 2: Negative signal (-), Pin3:Positivesignal(+)
5pin XLR: Pin1:GND,Pin 2: Negative signal (-), Pin3:Positivesignal(+),

4.2AddressSetting
If youuse a universal DMX controllertocontrol theunits,you have to set DMX addressfrom
1to512 so that the units canreceive DMX signal.
Pressthe MENU buttontoenter menu mode,selectDMXFunctions,press theENTERbutton
to confirm, usethe UP/DOWN buttontoselectDMXAddress,press theENTERbuttonto
confirm, thepresent addresswill blinkonthe display, usethe UP/DOWN buttontoadjustthe

To select anyofthe givenfunctions, pressthe MENU buttonuntil therequiredfunctionisshowing on
thedisplay.Selectthe function by pressing theENTERbuttonand thedisplay will blink. Usethe
DOWN/UP buttonstochangethe mode.Oncethe required mode hasbeen selected,press the
ENTERbutton to setup, to go back to thefunctionswithout anychangepress theMENU button
again. Pressand hold theMENU button forabout onesecondorwaitfor oneminutetoexitthe
menu mode.
