2 Tool requirements:
- 1 No. 3 Allen spanner
- 1 No. 4 Allen spanner
- 1 No. 8 flat spanner
- 1 monkey wrench
- 1 swanneck, vise-grip pliers
- 1 square drive screwdriver
and 1 No. 7 and 8 socket
Replacement of refractories
3 Open the door using the cold
handgrip.
5 Remove the smoke deflector to
disassemble the vertical refractories
(4B).
4 First of all, remove the horizontal
refractories (A). They are simply
set in place.
6 Re-assembly:
- vertical refractories (4B)
- smoke deflector (5)
- horizontal refractories (4A)

2 Open a door.
Take out the 2 front refractories.
4 and 5 Detach the 3 parts making up the grate. Put the lower grate, recog-
nisable by its 3 lugs, in place. These are inserted into the half-moons cut
out in the bottom of the fireplace. This part of the grate is fixed.
Caution: the A shape must be on the right.

3 Remove the grate with its pin.
6 Put the refractories back in place.
Turn the fork as far as the stop
135°- (photo 1 D) using the red
button of the grate shaker (photo
1 A and 6 A).
Next, put the second part of the
grate in place taking care to insert
its rod properly into the fork
(photo 1 D).

2 Unscrew the 2 parts of the grate
shaker by holding the red button
with your right hand and the fork
with your left hand.

1 Open a door.
Take out the front refractories.
Remove the grate and the grate
holder.
3 Unscrew the red button of the
metal rod to allow the 2 parts of
that rod to come out through the
inside of the fireplace.

1 Open the ashpan door with the
cold handgrip.

4 Unscrew the red button to take
out the spring.
2 Unscrew the 2 M5 screws using
the No. 3 Allen spanner.
3 Take the bolt out of the drum.

2 Unscrew the 2 screws holding the
drum positioner, using the No. 3
Allen spanner.
To put the positioner back in place,
insert the positioner and screw the 2
screws with the fan washers. Do not
tighten.
Check that the door is perfectly in
line with the front panel and the
ashpan door, and then tighten the
two screws.
1 Open the door of the ashpan,
using the cold handgrip.
Replacement of the drum positioner
The positioner is the fixed female component, which allows the bolt to immobilise the drum.

2 Turn the drum to have easy access
to the bearing (or to the gripping
hook).
3 Using the No. 4 Allen spanner,
loosen the screw (2 or 3 turns) and
move the gripping hook right-
wards to take out the bearing
through the hole provided for that
purpose.

2 Using the No. 4 Allen spanner, unscrew
the screw located in the bearing pin.
Do not forget to put the washer back
in place between the bearing and the
lower ring of the drum.
1 Turn the drum to have easy access
to the bearing.

Carefully observe the position of the seal before removing it

2 Unscrew and remove the front
panel (you can also remove the
side facings to make the operation
easier.
3 Unscrew the 3 M5 Allen screws of
the stainless-steel seal retainer.

1 Take out the 2 plates located on
the top of the fireplace.

4 Take out the damper through the
inside of the fireplace and its regu-
lator though the outside.

4 Take out the stainless-steel seal
retainer.

7 Remove the refractories covering
the bottom of the fireplace.

8 Take out the stainless-steel, primary
air deflector.

9 Remove the 2 vertical protective
sections by raising them through
the holes provided for fixing the
barbecue grill.
5 Unscrew the M5 Allen screw
holding the upper crosspiece.
6 Remove the upper crosspiece.

11 Take out the vertical seal retainers. 12 Take out the worn seal.

10 Unscrew the Allen screws and
M5 nuts holding the vertical seal
retainers.
Carefully observe the position of the seal before removing it.
13 Thread the new seal with the
flexible part towards the front and
the fine part against the surface of
the fireplace. Take care to centre
the seal so that it protrudes equal-
ly on both sides of the body of the
appliance. Firstly, fix the vertical
seal retainers by pulling firmly
upwards so that it is securely tight.
Next, fix the upper horizontal seal
retainer. Distribute the seal evenly
over the horizontal part. Check the
tightness of the seal by revolving
the drum several times.

6 Unscrew the Allen screws and M5
nut holding the lower crosspiece.

4 Take out the stainless-steel,
primary air deflector.
5 Remove the 2 vertical protective
sections by raising them through
the holes provided for fixing the
barbecue grill.

8 Take out the seal.
For installing the seal, work in the
opposite direction.
7 Position the drum on "open fire"
door, remove the door by lifting it
off its hinges. Turn the drum 6cm
rightwards to bring the hole (Ø
15mm) in front of the Allen screw
holding the lower horizontal seal
retainer. Unscrew the Allen screw
(2 or 3 turns). Operate in the same
way on the left side.

1 If a replacement is necessary,
unscrew the 2 screws using the
No. 3 Allen spanner. Place the new
door clips roll.
Do not forget the 2 washers.
Open and close the door several
times to check that the door is
resting suitably on the drum.
2 Loosen the 2 nuts holding the
door clips spring, using the box
spanner.
The door is locked with 2 separate components:
the clips roller fixed on the drum and the clips spring fixed on the door.
First of all, check their adjustment.
Setting or replacing the door locking mechanism.

1 Slightly half-open the door.

5 Put the seal retainers back in
place, using the swanneck,
vise-grip pliers.
2 Turn the drum 10cm rightwards.
Lift the door to take it off its
hinges, then push it leftwards.
3 Remove the door clips spring and
the seal retainers. Carefully
observe how they are arranged!

7 Put the door back in place.
6 Screw the door clips spring back
again.
Replacement of the panes
4 Replace the pane.
The procedure is the same for the glass door and for the "open fire" door

retainer, using the No. 7 spanner.

the seal retainers. Carefully
observe how they are arranged!

7 Put the heat shield back in place.

1 Slightly half-open the door.

4 For the solid door:
Position the self-adhesive side of
the seal against the inside of the
lower horizontal crosspiece of the
door. Start from the bottom,
on the right-hand side and turn
clockwise. Protrusion of the seal at
horizontal crosspiece level: 3mm.

5 Put the seal retainers back in place
and hold them against the uprights
of the door level with each nut
using the swanneck, vise-grip
pliers. Screw the seal retainers and
the door clips spring back again.
Next, put the door back in place.
2 Turn the drum 10cm rightwards.
Lift the door to take it off its
hinges, then push it leftwards.
3 Remove the door clips spring and
the seal retainers. Carefully
observe how they are arranged!
Replacement of the door seals
4 For the "open fire" door and the
glass door:
Position the self-adhesive side of
the seal against the inner upright
of the door. Start from the left.
The flexible part of the seal should
protrude from the door upright
(6mm).
