Introduction:
This toaster and grill has the following functions:
Toaster with browning control dial.
Grill compartment with upper and lower heating elements.
Important safety precautions:
Before use, check that the appliance and all of the accessories are free from any
defects.
Before operation, the power cable must be placed at the side of the appliance. The
power cable must never touch any hot part of the appliance. After use, the appliance
should be allowed to cool, before the cord is wound away. The appliance should always
be cleaned after use.
Warning danger of burning!
The toaster oven generates extremely high temperatures when in operation, and the
housing surfaces are very hot whilst the item is in use.
This appliance must only be operated on a heat resistant surface.
To prevent damage to the housing, this appliance should not be used on or near others
hot surfaces, or open flames such as a hot plate or gas flame.
This appliance is only suitable for use indoors, and should never be used outdoors.
When you toast bread, there is a danger that the slice of bread will burn or even catch
fire. When cooking with oil and fat, there is also a risk of the oil and fat catching fire.
Therefore, make sure that the device is not in the vicinity of cabinets or hanging objects,
such as curtains or other flammable objects.
Remove toast from the appliance with your hands. To avoid the risk of electric shock,
never insert a knife, fork or similar objects into the slots of the toaster.
After use, if the appliance malfunctions or before cleaning, switch off and unplug the
appliance from the mains power supply.
When unplugging the appliance from the mains power supply, always pull on the plug
and not the power cable.
Never allow hot parts of the device to touch the power cable.
Before storing the unit, make sure that it is completely cool.
Children do not recognise the dangers that may occur as a result of improper operation
of electrical devices. For this reason, it is necessary to keep all electrical equipment
away from children.
This device is only suitable for home use, and is not suitable for commercial use.
Always use a trained professional to carry out any maintenance or repair work on this
item.
Before use, make sure that the voltage on the rating label matches the mains power
supply.

If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced at your local hardware store to
prevent the risk of a hazard.
This device may not be used by persons (including children), with reduced, physical,
sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge. Children should be
monitored, so that they do not play with this device.
An external timer or remote system must not operate this device.
Before first use
Clean the appliance (See Cleaning and Maintenance section) and remove all packing
materials.
When the device is used for the first time, a slight odour may arise. Please note that this
is normal and lasts only for a short time. Good ventilation is necessary.
Using the Toaster
Plug the appliance into the mains power supply.
Adjust the timing dial on the side of the unit to brown your toast to the desired level
(from 60 seconds to 120 seconds). There are 6 settings on the timer dial which
are:
Setting 1 Will toast for 60 seconds
Setting 2 Will toast for 70 seconds
Setting 3 Will toast for 80 seconds
Setting 4 Will toast for 100 seconds
Setting 5 Will toast for 110 seconds
Setting 6 Will toast for 120 seconds
Place bread in the toast slot and push the control lever down.
When the desired level of browning time is achieved, the toast will automatically
pop up and the toaster will stop heating.
To stop toasting at any time, simply pull up the control lever.
After each use of the toaster, allow it to cool for 60-90 seconds before using it
again.
Please keep in mind that the control lever engages only in the lower position when
the plug is inserted.
Bread slices should not exceed 2cm in order for them to fit into the toasting unit.
To remove any stuck pieces of bread use a blunt instrument. DO NOT use a metal
instrument.

Using the grill
This appliance has two heating elements, and which heating element(s) you use will
depend on the type of food that you are cooking.
To switch on the upper heating element, push the upper power switch to the ON
position.
To switch on the lower heating element, push the lower switch to the ON position.
To switch on both heating elements at the same time, make sure both power switches
are in the ON position.
Please note that the handle (included) should always be used to remove the grill pan
from the oven.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Before cleaning, switch off and unplug the appliance from the mains power supply.
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, avoid cleaning the unit with water and never
immerse it in water.
Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaning solutions, to clean the appliance.
The exterior of the device can be cleaned with a moist, fiber-free cloth.
Over time, breadcrumbs can accumulate in the toaster. To remove crumbs, take the pan
out first, then turn the unit around and shake it gently until all the breadcrumbs from the
toaster have fallen out.
Clean the pan with a mild household detergent.
