3. SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
Software Requirements
Following are the software requirements to perform RF testing using QRCT in Factory Test
Mode.
QDART SW Package (includes Qualcomm Radio Control Toolkit (QRCT) tool)
QCMBR Source code package
3.1.1. QDART Installation
This section provide the step-by-step procedure to install the QDART SW package required
to perform RF testing using QRCT.
To download and install the latest QDART software package, perform the following steps:
1. Open https://createpoint.qti.qualcomm.com/ and login with your registered
Qualcomm Email ID and Password. First time users, click Register.
The homepage is displayed.
2. On the homepage, under Product Kits > All Product Types> Bluetooth/Wi-Fi,
select DEV. This enables access to the tools.
3. Under Tools tab, search for QDART.
a. Select Subscribe and click QDART_CONN.WIN.1.0 Installer or QDART.WIN.4.8
Installer to download.
Note: QDART_CONN.WIN.1.0 is a subset of QDART.WIN.4.8, hence the file size is
smaller.

4. WLAN TEST PROCEDURE
The QRCT is a Windows toolkit that provides a GUI interface for FTM operation. The user can
manually check for RF performance in nonsignaling testing.
Setup QRCT for WLAN
Step 1: Connect the device under test as shown in Figure 2-1.
Step 2: Configure the Access Point (or Ethernet switch) to get IP address of the below
devices:
CMW500
Windows Laptop (QRCT tool)
Linux Laptop (QCMBR tool)
Step 3: Configure the CMW500 settings.
Step 4: Install the QCMBR tool in Linux laptop.
1. Open a command prompt and execute the following command
$sudo -s
Enter the password as "password"
2. Retrieve IP address of the Ethernet Interface in Linux Laptop by entering the
following command
#ifconfig
3. Navigate to the Qcmr tool directory, build and execute the following commands
# cd ~/FOR_KOREA_TEAM/RT_TEST/Qcmbr
# ./Qcmbr
Step 5: Setup WE866C3 module in Factory Test Mode
1. Connect the WE866C3 EVB to the SDIO slot in the Linux Laptop.
2. Make sure the Jumper Settings on the EVB are as shown below.
Figure 4-1 WE866C3 EVB Jumper Settings
3. Next, connect an RF cable to WE866C3 EVB and CMW500 RF Communication
Tester.
4. Once the connection is established, execute the following commands:
sudo -s
Enter the password : password
