Motorola Solutions PMLN4455 Audio Accessory Adapter allows you to use existing 3.5 mm threaded audio accessories from Visar™ Radio with the latest GP300, PRO5000 Elite, EX500, and EX600 Professional Radio Series. It enables clear audio communication by muting the radio speaker and routing audio through the attached accessory. Attach the adapter to the radio, secure it with the screw, and connect your preferred accessory. Remember to turn off the radio before attaching or detaching the adapter or accessory.

The PMLN4455 (3.5 mm threaded) Audio
Accessory Adapter enables the use of existing
audio accessories from Visar™ Radio with the
latest and smallest GP328Plus/GP338Plus/
GP329Plus/GP339Plus (Asia), PRO5150 Elite/
PRO7150 Elite (Latin America) and EX500/
EX600 (North America) Professional Radio
Series.
Contact a Motorola Solutions representative on
the compatibility of your radio with the Audio
Accessory Adapter and applicable audio
accessories.
Attaching the Adapter or Accessory
1. Turn the radio off.
2. If applicable, remove the universal connector
seal or dust cover from the side of the radio.
3. Attach the Audio Accessory Adapter to the
radio.
4. Secure the adapter to the radio by turning
the screw of the adapter in a clockwise
direction until the fit is snug.
5. Remove the rubber audio jack cover from
the top side of the Audio Accessory Adapter
and attach the applicable accessory to the
adapter.
6. Secure the accessory to the adapter by
turning the threaded plug clockwise until it
sits snugly.
7. Turn the radio on.
Radio Operation with Adapter
The radio functions normally with the adapter
attached. However, radio operation changes
when an accessory is attached to the adapter;
the audio is muted in the radio speaker and
routed through the Audio Accessory Adapter to
the attached accessory.
Removing the Adapter
1. Turn the radio off.
2. Remove the accessory from the adapter by
unscrewing the threaded plug.
3. Reattach the rubber audio jack cover to the
adapter’s jack.
4. Loosen the captive screw holding the Audio
Accessory Adapter to the side of the radio
and remove the Audio Accessory Adapter
from the radio.
5. If applicable, reattach the universal
connector seal or dust cover to the side of
the radio.
6. Turn the radio on.
Service
The PMLN4455 Audio Accessory Adapter is not
repairable. Order a replacement adapter where
necessary.
Do not hold and twist the strain relief or
wires when securing the threaded plug
into the adapter. Hold and turn the plastic
stem instead. Twisting the strain relief
may cause internal wires damage and
intermittent audio performance.
