GreenBrook VEFSC1 is a Fire Rated Downlight with GU10 Holder, designed for connection to a 230V mains supply. It has a maximum wattage of 50W and an IP65 rating from the front when installed and IP20 from the back of the fitting. The cut-out hole size is 70mm and the dimensions are H106.5 x W85mm x L130mm. It is suitable for use in ceilings with solid timber joist constructions and has been fire tested to meet the requirements of BS 476-21 and EN60598-2-2. The nearest illuminated surface must be at least 0.5m distance from the front of the fitting.

Fit this product as illustrated in Diagrams 2 to 8.
Connect this product to a mains 230V supply
only. Connect the brown feed wire to “L”,
connect the blue feed wire to “N”. Connect the
earth wire to the earth terminal (ensure earth
wire is sleeved green/yellow).
Ensure there is adequate free air ventilation
around the fitting. The nearest illuminated
surface must be at least 0.5m distance from the
front of the fitting. Do not install this product into
new plaster or damp areas.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
It is recommended that luminaires are installed
and fitted by a qualified electrician ensuring the
installation complies to the current IET wiring
regulations.
If simply replacing existing fitting, please ensure
you follow these instructions and the
appropriate wiring regulations. This product is
designed for connection to a 230V mains supply.
Always switch off mains supply before servicing,
fitting or replacing lamps. Always check the
lamp is correct for the application including its
voltage, wattage and type.
Special attention should be paid for any
installations with low ceiling voids. Never cover
the fittings with insulation.Never exceed the
maximum wattage. Ensure the lamp is
correctly located in the lampholder. These
fittings have been fire tested with solid timber
joist ceiling constructions.
We recommend that a sample hole is cut in
some scrap material to familiarise yourself with
the installation.
Once you are completely satisfied, locate the
areas suitable to install these luminaires. Cut a
suitable round hole in the ceiling (cut-out hole
size is 70mm (see Dia.1) and ensure there is
sufficient space in the ceiling void without
infringing on joist, water pipes or electrical
cables.
