Powerware 9125 (2500–3000 VA) Seismic Kit
The Powerware
R
9125 (2500–3000 VA) seismic kit is available in two
models: a four-unit model and a six -unit model. The four-unit model can
secure up to four UPS, battery, or PowerPass
R
Distribution Module (PDM)
cabinets; the six-unit model holds up to six cabinets. Both models include
spacers for any extra openings.

The seismic kit includes:
1 seismic base with casters
1 front strap
1 back strap with tabs
4 seismic base angles
4spacers
8M6´ 16 hex bolts
8M6lockwashers
24 M4 ´ 8 Phillips hex-head screws with lockwashers
6M4´ 10 Phillips hex-head screws with lockwashers

The following steps explain how to install the seismic kit.
1. If you are bolting the cabinet to the floor, use the following drill
patterns to prepare the floor mounting holes.

2. Attach the front and back straps to the base using the supplied
M6 ´ 16 hex bolts and lockwashers (see Figure 4). Verify the
straps align with the front and b ack edges of the base.
NOTE For floor mounting, also attach the seismic base angles with the
front and back straps as shown in Figure 5.
NOTE The base casters are removeable. To mount the seismic kit flush
with the floor, remove the casters and secure the base angles using the
inside screw position.

3. On the back of each cabinet, remove the screw on the top left
corner and discard (see Figure 6).

4. Beginning with a middle position, slide each cabinet into place.
NOTE The PDM must be installed to the left of the UPS and the EBM(s)
must be installed to the right of the UPS.

5. Attach the cabinet to the tab on the back strap by installing one
of the supplied M4 ´ 10 Phillips hex-head screws (see Figure 8).

6. Fasten the top of the cabinet to the front strap with two of the
supplied M4 ´ 8 Phillips hex-head screws.

7. Install the remaining cabinets, leaving any empty slots to the
outside position(s).
If there is an empty slot, install spacers to complete the seismic
kit. Attach the spacer to the front and back straps using the
supplied M4 ´ 8 Phillips hex-head screws.

8. Roll the loaded cabinet to its permanent location.
If you installed seismic base angles, secure the base to the floor
with earthquake bolts (not provided).
