INSTRUCTION MANUAL
PLEASE READ AND RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
If you are in a controlled air space, which covers most Australian cities, you must not fly higher
than 400 Feet (120 meters).
Do not fly within 5.5 km of an air field.
You must not fly closer than 30 meters to vehicles, buildings or people.
You must only operate this quad-copter in your line of sight in day light. Do not let it get away from
you.
You must not fly under any populous area, such as beaches, other people’s backyards, heavy
populated parks or sports ovals where there is a game in progress.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. This product is not designed to be used by people (including children) with a physical,
sensory or mental impairment, or people without knowledge or experience, unless they are
supervised or given prior instructions concerning the use of the quad-copter by someone
responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the quad-copter. This quadcopter is not a toy. It is not to be played with by children.
2. This product is not a toy but an integral precision instrument. It requires correct assembly
and synchronising to avoid any accidents. The user of the drone needs to operate and
control the quad-copter in a safe manner. Incorrect operation of the quad-copter may cause
serious injury or even cause damage or loss of property.
3. Pay careful attention flying the quad-copter safely. Fly the quad-copter away from obstacles.
Do not fly the quad-copter in bad weather conditions (e.g.: windy, stormy, lightning, rain,
snow).
4. This quad-copter is suitable for use by a person who has experience with flying quad-copters
and who is aged 14 years old or over.
5. Avoid moisture or water content from entering the main body of the quad-copter as it may
cause the breakdown of the mechanics and electronic parts.
6. Only use the original parts supplied with the quad-copter or from our company for any
maintenance or repairs.
7. Please correctly assemble the quad-copter as per the instructions shown in the instruction
manual/packing instructions.
8. Do not use the quad-copter for any illegal purposes or use it beyond the scope of the law
and safety regulations.
9. In-experienced users of a quad-copter are advised to use it under the guidance of another
person who is experienced with quad-copters.
10. The quad-copter is not designed to carry a payload.
11. When the rotor blades of the quad-copter are rotating at high speed, do not touch or come
into contact with them. Keep any objects away from the rotating parts.
12. Keep the quad-copter and it’s parts away from a direct heat source and avoid exposure to
direct sunlight and high temperatures.
13. During the process of synchronising the controller to the quad-copter, ensure there is 1 2
meters distance between the user and the quad-copter to avoid collision or injury.
14. Our company and it’s distributors are not responsible for any loss due to incorrect operation
which may cause any loss or damage or injury to the body or damage and loss of property.
15. Small parts are contained in this product. Please keep it out of reach from children to avoid
CHOKING HAZARD.
16. Keep the packaging material away from children.
17. Do not play with the quad-copter on the road or in/close to water.
18. Do not disassemble or re-equip the quad-copter as it may cause the breakdown of the quad-
copter during flight.
19. To install batteries to the controller: remove the battery cover from the rear of the hand
controller. Add 4 x AA sized batteries (not included) to the battery compartment of the
controller. The batteries need to be installed as per the correct polarity. When batteries
have been added correctly to the hand controller, add the battery cover.
20. Do not mix old batteries with new batteries.
21. Only use the original charge lead to charge the quad-copter. The charge lead is not a toy.
Keep the charge lead out of reach of children.
22. When charging the re-chargeable battery of the quad-copter, please do so under the
surveillance of an adult. Keep it away from combustible objects when charging.
23. Do not short-circuit, cut open or squeeze the battery.
24. Do not throw any batteries info a fire, expose to a direct heat source and avoid exposure to
direct sunlight and high temperatures.
25. Exhausted batteries need to be removed in a timely manner. Ensure any exhausted batteries
are disposed of in a safe manner as per your local authority.
26. Please remove batteries from the controller and the quad-copter if they will not be used for
a long time to avoid battery leakage.
27. The quad-copter should be kept far away from other electronic equipment and far away
from magnetic objects as they may cause interference with each other.
28. In order to comply with the command of the magnetic environment requirement formulated
by the Aviation Radio Bureau and the related authority, during the regulated period in
certain areas, please stop using the controller of this quad-copter when such regulation
command is issued.
MAINTENANCE:
1. Use a soft clean cloth to clean the quad-copter.
2. Do not put the quad-copter or it’s parts into water.
3. Please check the parts and accessories of the quad-copter at regular intervals. If there is any
damage, do not use the quad-copter until repairs/maintenance are carried out.
4. Avoid exposure or heating to the quad-copter and it’s parts and accessories.
CONTROLLER FUNCTION:
ONE BUTTON TAKE OFF/LANDING:
One button take off/one button landing: Press this button to begin flying. To end flying, press this
button again.
Speed + high speed and Speed - low speed: Press the high-speed switch or low speed switch to
change between different speeds. The display on the controller will show which speed level has
been selected.
To install batteries to the controller: remove the battery cover from the rear of the hand controller.

need to be installed as per the correct polarity. When batteries have been added correctly to the
hand controller, add the battery cover. Do not mix old batteries with new batteries.

CHARGING THE LITHIUM BATTERY:
1. Ensure the quad-copter is turned off.
2. Insert the USB end of the charge lead to a computer or mains USB adaptor.
3. Connect the end of the charge lead to the charging socket of the quad-copter.
4. While the quad-copter is charging, the power switch on the quad-copter will be up red.
5. When charging is complete, the power switch will not be lit up.
6. Full charging time is about 4 hours.
CAUTIONS WHEN CHARGING:
1. When charging the quad-copter, ensure it is in a dry, well ventilated area away from any
heat sources and explosive items.
2. When charging, remove the battery from the quad-copter.
3. After flying, please do not charge the battery if the surface temperature of the quad-copter
is warm.
4. Do not re-charge the battery if the battery appears to look swollen.
5. Ensure that the original USB charge lead provided is used for recharging.
6. A battery which has not been used for a long time will lose it’s charge automatically.
7. Charging or discharging too often may reduce the use of the battery.
PREPARATION FOR FLIGHT:
1. Please operate the quad-copter in a spacious indoor or outdoor area.
2. Ensure the battery is well installed and connected.
3. Ensure the camera is connected if you want to use the camera.
4. Place the quad-copter on the ground facing towards you.
5. Turn on the quad-copter by pressing the power switch. The indication lights on the quad-
copter will be blink rapidly for 3 4 seconds. Wait for the frequency adjustment. Then the
lights will be blinking at a slower pace.
6. Turn on the controller by pressing the power button on the controller. The status light will
be flashing.
7. To synchronise the controller and the quad-copter, pull the throttle stick upwards to the
highest position. The controller will beep once and the status light on the controller will be
flashing rapidly.
8. Then pull the throttle stick downwards to the lowest position. The controller will beep again
and the status light on the controller will stay on and the lights on the quad-copter will be
blinking slowly when the quad-copter and controller have been paired successfully.
OPERATING METHOD:
HEIGHT SETTING MODE:
After synchronising the of the quad-copter with the controller, press the one-button take off button
to enter the Pressure Height-setting Mode. This time the height of the quad-copter will be steadily
kept on the current height. Push the throttle lever upward, the quad-copter will be ascending; Pull
the throttle lever downward, the quad-copter will be descending. When the throttle is pulled back to
the neutral position, the quad-copter will set height automatically. Press the one-button take off
button again and you can exit the Pressure Height-setting Mode, the quad-copter will be landing
slowly. Double click or keep pressing the one-button take off button, the quad-copter will make
Emergency Stop or Landing.
ONE BUTTON AUTO RETURN:
The quad-copter can utilise one-button return when it is in normal mode or headless mode.
Press the one-button auto return button and the quad-copter will begin it’s return.
HEADLESS MODE:
Place the quad copter on the ground facing forwards towards you.
After synchronising the quad-copter with the controller, during the course of take-off, press the
headless/normal mode switch on the controller. When headless mode is on, the headless indicator
light is illuminated on the controller. When normal mode is on, the normal word is illuminated on
the controller. Press the headless/normal mode switch on the controller again to go back to normal
mode.
3D ROLLING EVERSION:
Once you have become familiar with the operation of the quad-copter,
you may be interested to do some rolling flight.
While operating the quad-copter at the height of about 3 meters,
press the 3D rolling eversion button on the controller and pull the
direction stick to forwards/backwards/left/right positions.
The quad-copter can roll forwards/backwards/left/right.
SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD AND INSTALLATION:
Scan the QR codes to download the app. Alternatively, you can search for the app in SJ RC in the app
store or google play store and download it to your smart phone.
1. Once the quad-copter is turned on, access the settings on your smart phone and open the WIFI
settings.
2. Find the network SJ RC and connect to that WIFI network.
3. When the connection has been made successfully, exit out of the settings on your smart phone.
4. Open the app SJ RC to take photos and real-time recordings.

TAKING PHOTOS AND VIDEOS USING THE CONTROLLER:
1. To take a photo, press the camera key on the controller once. You will hear a camera sound,
which represents that a photo has been taken.
2. To take a video, hold the camera key down on the controller for 3 seconds, the controller will
beep and the video camera icon on the app screen will blink. To stop recording the video, press the
camera button on the controller once.
Photos and videos are saved in your smart phone/devices photos, videos or files section depending
on which phone/device is used.
