SmartPresenter™ Cable: SPC-124
The SPC-124 is designed for the SmartPresenter™ and used to control specific
serially-controlled devices. The entire length of the cable is approximately 15 feet
(4.572 meters) with a RJ11 (6-position, 6-pin) connector at one end and a DB9F
connector at the other end.

NOTE: Alteration of the SPC-124
in any manner may affect its
performance within the control
system. Crestron cannot
guarantee its behavior if altered.
A serially-controlled device can be controlled with the SmartPresenter™ only if the
appropriate Q-Code is assigned to OUTPUT 4 on the SP-1. The SP-1 recognizes the
Q-Code as an RS-232 switching device and outputs commands for that device to the
PC port (rather than the OUTPUT 4 port). Use the SPC-124 to connect the SP-1 to
the serially-controlled device (refer to illustration below). Only those devices with a
cable code “d” designation in the Crestron Q-Codes table (latest version of the
SmartPresenter Quick Guide, Doc. 5742) require the SPC-124.
