Retain the manual. If you pass the unit onto a third party, make sure to include this
manual.
Make sure your home voltage matches the voltage displayed on the appliance. If
you are not sure, contact an electrician.
Do not use the appliance in the bathroom or shower room.
Do not place unit appliance near radiators or heating appliances, also do not
operate the unit in direct sunlight.
Do not use the unit near  ammable materials or  re.
Close supervision is required when the unit is used by or near children.
Ensure that the unit is used on a stable and level surface. If the  oor surface is
uneven there is a risk that the appliance could tip over. Also, excessive vibration
and noise may occur.
If the appliance tips over, immediately disconnect from the power supply.
Do not block or restrict the air ow around the appliance. Position the unit so that
the air inlet and exhaust grilles are not blocked or restricted in anyway.
Allow 300mm of clearance around the unit.
Do not spray water on the unit as this may cause irreparable damage to the unit
and the risk of electric shock.
Do not unplug the unit from the mains socket with wet hands.
Switch o the power before removing the plug from the mains socket.
To disconnect the power, grip the plug and pull it out from the mains socket.
NEVER pull the mains cable.
Empty the water when the water tank is full or the unit is not in use for a
prolonged period.
Do not push any objects in the air inlet and exhaust grilles.
This appliance is intended for indoor household use and similar applications such
as:
farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments;
bed and breakfast type environments;
catering and similar non-retail applications.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall
not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
Children should be supervised so they do not play with the main cable.
If the mains cable is damaged, do not use the appliance. Ensure the appliance
unlpugged from the mains socket. Contact your quali ed service agent to replace
the mains cable.

Before Use
1. Place on a stable, at oor. If the oor surface is not even:
Vibration and noise will occur.
Water may leak from the water tank.
2. Make sure the air inlet and air outlet openings are clear and free from blockage.
The unit must stand upright for at least 2 hours prior to use.
Operation
1. Connect to the mains socket.
2. Press the ON/OFF button to switch the unit on.
3. Press the ON/OFF button to switch the unit o.
If the unit has been switched o and needs to be switched on again quickly, the unit
will delay start for approximately 3 minutes for the normal operations to resume.
Always use the ON/OFF button to switch the unit o. The unit has a delay function to
protect itself if user has not previously switched o the unit properly.
When the unit compressor starts, so too will the dehumidier. The unit will
automatically stop when the water tank is full. You can normally switch o the unit
even if the water thank is not full. Note that after reset the unit will start up again after
3 minutes when switched on again.

When the water tank is full:
The unit will beep.
The pilot lamp on the rocker switch is shut o but the fan will
continue running.
Auto-Defrost
When using the appliance in low ambient conditions, frost will build-up inside the unit. The unit
will automatically enter Defrost Mode. The Defrost Indicator will illuminate.
Suitable For Use In
This unit is designed to operate in the following ambient room conditions:
• Minimum: 5ºC, 40%RH • Maximum: 35ºC, 90%RH
It is suitable for use in bedrooms, studies, cellars/basements, kitchens, storage rooms, libraries,
galleries and computer rooms.
It protects moisture sensitive items, such as most musical instruments, cameras and computers.

To obtain best results, avoid opening windows and doors.
Continuous Draining
Water can be automatically emptied into a oor
drain by attaching a water hose (13.5mm)(hose
not included) to the unit.
Insert the water hose (not included) into the
drain outlet as shown. Place or connect the
other end of the hose to a suitable drainage
facility.

The hose level must be lower than the drain outlet, see diagrams below. When the hose
is not being used, remove the hose from the drain outlet.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Maintenance of your air lter
The air lter located inside the air inlet of the unit collects dust
contained in the air. The build up of dust reduces the eciency
of the unit. To prevent the dust from clogging up the unit,
always use it with the air lter in place.
Always clean the air lter every 2 weeks. If the unit is used in a
dusty atmosphere clean the air lter more often.
To remove the lter, pull up the plastic lip at the top of the
vents as shown.
Clean the air lter with a vacuum cleaner. lf the air lter is
very dirty, you can wash it in warm water (never use hot or
soapy water). Make sure that the air lter is dry and retted
correctly. Do not bend the lter and ensure it is tted before
operating the unit.
Cleaning the unit
Clean the unit using a damp sponge, and dry it with a clean,
soft cloth.
Never use alcohol or any product containing solvents.
Do not immerse the unit in water.
Problems Problems
Power Supply The Pilot lamp on the
rocker switch is off, but the fan is still
running.
Empty the water tank.
Refit the water tank in correct position.
Dehumidifying function does not work. Humidity level in the room is too low. Air filter may
be dirty; clean the air filter. Make sure that the air
inlet and the air outlet are not obstructed.
Excessive noise. Ensure the unit is on a stable flat surface. Clean the
air filter.
No air coming out from the air outlet. Clean the air filter.
