INSTALLATION
Mounting the Camera
The Vista Varifocal Dome camera can be wall or ceiling mounted. Using the template supplied,
make four holes for the fixing screws, and one hole for the video and power cables. To fix the
camera, it is recommended that the camera assembly is removed from the gimbal in order to
access the fixing holes.
1. Tilt the camera until the pip on the cameras spindle lines up with the cut out on the side of
the gimbal.
2. Gently prise the gimbal side away from the camera cradle until the camera is free.
3. Lift the camera out of the gimbal.
4. The gimbal can now be rotated to line up with the holes in the base.
Use fixings appropriate for the type of wall or ceiling material onto which the camera will be
mounted. Countersunk screws with a diameter of 4 to 5 mm are recommended.
Wall Mounting
If the camera is wall mounted, the camera assembly will need to be rotated 90
O
counter-
clockwise. To do this, remove the camera from the gimbal as described above and after rotating
the camera 90
O
clockwise, insert it back into the gimbal by reversing the removal procedure.
The top of the camera is marked on the camera cradle.
NOTE: If the camera mounting is subsequently changed from WALL to CEILING mount, the
camera assembly will need to be rotated 90
O
clockwise in the gimbal.
