6.Installthenewlterbyhandandtightenthelter1/2
to3/4turnafteritmakescontactwiththelterhead
(Figure1).
Important:Donotusealterstrapwrenchto
tightenthelter.Astrapwrenchcandamagethe
lter,causingittoleak.
7.Starttheengineandrunitatidlefor1minute,and
checkforleaks.
8.Stoptheengineandremovethekey.
9.Checkthetransmissionoillevel;ifthelevelislow,add
oil;refertoCheckingtheOilLevelintheTransmission
(page2).
Important:Whenyoullthetransmissionwith
oil,slowlyaddtheoilintothetransmissionto
avoidentrainingairwiththeoil.

Important:Ifyouoperatethemachinewhilethelevelof
thetransmissionoilisbelowtherecommendedlevel,you
maydamagethetransmissionandtheparkingbrake.
1.RotatetheBATTERY-DISCONNECTswitchtotheOn
position;refertoOperator’sManualforthemachine.
2.Starttheengineandrunitfor10minutes.
3.Stoptheengineandremovetheignitionkey.
4.Checkthetransmissionlterandlterheadforleaks.
Note:Repairallleaksbeforeproceedingtothenext
step.
5.Wait10minutesormoreandthencheckthe
transmissionoillevelinthesightgauge(Figure2).
Note:Theoillevelshouldcover1/2to3/4ofthe
sight-gaugewindow.
