2.4 G H z W iF i n etw ork con n ects devices to th e I n tern et
at 4G L T E speeds up to 150 M b ps. A ll an ten n ae are fully
con tain ed for a splash -proof solution . T h e 12V DC pow er is
sourced th roug h a moun tin g dock w ith sn ap-in portab ility.

dock an d operated on -sh ore utiliz in g an in cluded A C-to-

Installation
1 . M ak e sure w atercraft is dry-dock ed or oth erw ise
supported ab ove w ater to avoid an un stab le con dition
created b y w aves.
2 . L ocate a moun tin g area th at allow s con n ection of th e
A quaF i H otspot Dock A ssemb ly’s pow er an d g roun d w ires
to th e w atercraft’s pow er source w ith out creatin g a strain
on th e completed con n ection .
N OT E : V ertical orien tation of product at in stallation is required.
N OT E : T h e moun tin g dock sh ould b e easily accessib le
w ith en oug h room to remove th e A quaF i H otspot A ssemb ly
from its dock .
3 . I f n ecessary, remove th e A quaF i H otspot (Fig.2A) from its
moun tin g dock (Fig.2B) an d set aside for later use.

4 . Con n ect th e moun tin g dock ’s red pow er (Fig.3A) an d

con n ectors (Fig.3C).

Aq uaFi S y stem Activ ation
A ctivation of th e A quaF i H otspot system can b e performed
on sh ore or on a w atercraft.
I f activatin g th e system on sh ore, th e 120V A C/DC
pow er supply (Fig.1C) is required. Refer to th e O n S h ore
U se section .
1 . M ak e sure w atercraft is dry-dock ed or oth erw ise
supported ab ove w ater to avoid an un stab le con dition
created b y w aves.
2 . M ak e sure th e A quaF i H otspot is securely seated in its
moun tin g dock . T h e dock sh ould sn ap on to th e h otspot.
N OT E : A secured A quaF i H otspot w ill mak e g ood
electrical con n ection s across th e moun tin g dock an d
h otspot matin g con tact pin s.
3 . T urn system pow er on .

Maintenance
P eriodically ch eck moun tin g dock for crack ed or missin g
clampin g tab an d cradle h ook s. Replace dock , if n ecessary.
T urn off pow er to th e A quaF i system. Remove th e h otspot
from its dock . S eparately, w ipe th e un it an d dock w ith a
fresh -w ater dampen ed cloth . M ak e sure b oth compon en ts,
an d th eir electrical con tacts, are completely dry b efore
reattach in g th e h otspot to th e moun tin g dock .
Clean system w ith fresh -w ater dampen ed cloth s after each
use in salt w ater en viron men ts.
Remove th e A quaF i H otspot from its moun tin g dock w h en
w atercraft is n ot in use or in storag e. K eep h otspot in a dry,
cool location w h en n ot b ein g used on w atercraft.
