Assembly Instructions
General Information
This document provides a guide for the assembly and installation of the Roll Cage Kit onto the Transmig 350i,
450i and 550i power source. The Roll Cage protects the Transmig power source unit in hazardous environ-
ments and also functions as a safe and sturdy hand lifting carriage.
NOTE
The Roll Cage Kit is designed to fit the Transmig 350i, 450i and 550i power source without any
modifications.
For applications that require a secure, heavy duty, handle-driven trolley for easy maneuvering of the Transmig
350i, 450i and 550i, use the CIGWELD Welding Equipment Trolley, Part No. W4015500.
NOTE
Only the Roll Cage Kit or Welding Equipment Trolley may be fitted to the Transmig 350i/450i/550i
power source at any one time.

WARNING
The Roll Cage, being a hand lifting carriage, can only be lifted by hand. The Roll Cage must not be
lifted via cranes or similar means.

Assembly Instructions
WARNING
Unplug the Transmig power source unit before attaching the Roll Cage Kit.
NOTE
Do not completely assemble the Roll Cage before attaching it to the Power Source. The fully as-
sembled Roll Cage will not allow the Power Source to be attached .

A. Connect Rear and Front Frames
1. Connect the Rear and Front Frames by using
two Bottom Connecting Bars. Fasten the as-
sembled rollcage frames with 4 saddle wash-
ers and 4 screws (Item 8).
2. Mount and fasten Middle and Top Reinforcing
Bars on one side,using the following hardware:
• 4
Hexagon Socket Head Screws (Item 9)
• 4 Saddle Washers (Item 11)

B. Mount Power Source to Roll Cage
WARNING
Disconnect power source from supply
before mounting to rollcage.

WARNING
Power source weight is in excess of 70kg.
Appropriate lifting techniques including
the use of mechanical lifting aids must be
observed.
1. Use crane or suitable lifting device to carefully
lift the power source.

2. Slide and carefully place the power source
on the rollcage. Pay attention that two holes
on the front of the rollcage align with the two
holes on the bottom of the power source. From
underneath thread 2 Bolts (Item 10) to fasten
the power source and the rollcage.

Base Panel

3. Fully insert the Base Panel into the slot at the
bottom of the power source as shown. The
three holes on the Base Panel shall align with
the three holes on rollcage. Use 3 Bolts (Item
10) to fasten.
When all the 3 steps are completed, it should like
below:

C. Attach the other Middle and Top Reinforcing
Bar
Attach the remaining Middle and Top Reinforcing Bars
to the rollcage. Line up holes in the bars with the 4
holes in the frames. Fasten the bars and the rollcage
using saddle washers and screws (Item 9).

D. Install Top Panel Bracket to the Roll Cage
1. Remove the two Screws from the top cover
of the Power Source as shown. Keep these
screws as they will be reinstalled later in Step
3.

2. Attach the Top Panel Bracket to the rollcage
with the 2 holes on the two sides of the panel
aligning with the 2 holes on the Top Reinforc-
ing Bars. Use 2 saddle washers and 2 screws
(Item 9) to fasten the Top Panel Bracket and
the rollage.
3. Reinstall the Screws through the Top Panel
Bracket into the top cover of the Power Source.
Tighten the screws to secure the power source
and the rollcage.

E. When all the procedures are done, it should look like below figure:

Fully tighten all the fasteners (refer to torque force data in Supplied Parts section).
