. Overview
This Card Reader for PS236 Extended SKU
provides the following functions:
z RFID reader/writer
z SIM/SAM card slot x 2
z Smart Card slot

. Installation
Inserting a SIM/SAM Card
1. Open the protection cover by
removing four screws.
2. Locate the two SIM/SAM card
slots.
3. Slide the card slot to the “OPEN”
position (n) and lift it up. Insert
the SIM/SAM card into the slot (o).
Slide the card slot to the “LOCK”
position (p.
4. Replace the cover and tighten the four screws.
5. You can stick the security labels over two screws as
tamper-evident seals.
Inserting a Smart Card
Installing the Card Reader onto PS236
1.
Remove the rubber cap on
top of PS236 by unfastening
two screws.
2. Align and insert the Mini-PCIE
connector all the way into the
Expansion Port of PS236.
3. Secure the Card Reader with two screws. You need a
longer screwdriver for tightening the screws.
4. Set up PS236 to use the Card Reader by tapping

Settings Æ
System Æ Serial Port Switch
and selecting
Use expansion port.
