the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance
(servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the unit.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
DANGER
To reduce the risk of electric shock, burns, fire or injury:
1. Always unplug the unit from the electrical outlet immediately after using.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other.

the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician
for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly
at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from
the apparatus.
11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

Portable Cart Warning
12. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the
manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution
when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long
periods of time.
14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when
the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as the power-supply cord

BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
Dispose of the old batteries properly. Do not dispose of the old batteries
in a fire.
Do not leave the batteries where a child or pet could play with or swallow
them. If the batteries are swallowed, contact a physician immediately.
The batteries may explode if mistreated or incorrectly installed.
Do not attempt to recharge or disassemble the batteries.
Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type. Do not mix old
and new batteries, different types of batteries, or rechargeable batteries
of different capacities.
Do not expose batteries to excessive heat such as fire, heating units
or direct sunlight.

9. Do not overload electrical outlet. Use only the power source as indicated.
CAUTION

Replace only with the same or equivalent type batteries.
10. Do not carry this unit by cord or use cord as handle.
11. Never operate this unit if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, or if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. If the
unit’s power supply cord or plug is damaged, do not attempt to fix it yourself.
12. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble or attempt to repair
the unit. Incorrect repair can cause risk of electric shock or injury to persons
when unit is used.
13. Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
14. To be completely disconnected from the power input, the AC/DC adapter
must be disconnected from the main unit.
15. The AC/DC adapter should not be obstructed or should be easily
accessible during use.

1. Like all electronic devices, your iPad tablet and Boombox can be
damaged by high temperatures.
2. Do not expose your iPad tablet or Boombox to direct sunlight or
excessive heat.
3. The temperature of your iPad tablet should not exceed its acceptable
operating temperature range. Please refer to your iPad tablet user
manual for more information.

OPERATION
BATTERY POWER/AC POWER MODE
AC Power:
1. Plug AC adapter (included) into DC jack on the back of the unit,
and then into an electrical outlet.
Note: When the AC adapter is plugged into the unit your docked device
will charge.
Battery Power/Main Unit:
1. To charge the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and set the BATTERY MODE
ON/OFF switch to ON. The charging LED will illuminate red when the battery
is charging and will illuminate green when the battery is fully charged. It takes
approximately 4-5 hours to charge a fully depleted battery.
2. When the battery power is low, the POWER LED INDICATOR will flash
to alert you to charge the battery.
Important: To preserve battery life, when the unit is not in use, switch the
BATTERY MODE ON/OFF switch to OFF.
Battery Power/Remote:
1. Open the BATTERY COMPARTMENT tray on the back of the remote
by pushing the tab and sliding the battery tray out.
2. Install one CR2025 button cell battery (included) according to the polarity
indicator inside the compartment.
3. Close the BATTERY COMPARTMENT tray securely.

TURNING THE UNIT ON
1. Press on top of the unit or on remote to turn the unit on.
The POWER LED INDICATOR will illuminate.
2. Press
again to turn unit off.
Note: Your docked device will charge while it is docked in the unit only
if the AC power is being used.
CONNECTING YOUR iPod/iPhone/iPad TO THE UNIT
1. Press the DEVICE DOCK RELEASE button to access
the DEVICE DOCK.
2. Pull the 30-PIN CONNECTOR towards
you until it locks into position (see
illustration at right). Insert your device.
3. Push back on your device until it rests
on the DEVICE DOCK RELEASE button.
Note: When removing your device from the dock, only lift up
while securing the base of the dock connector. DO NOT pull out
towards you, as this may damage the device or the DEVICE DOCK.
Important: DO NOT transport the Boombox with a device docked
in the unit.

CHOOSING A SOURCE
Press SOURCE on the unit or remote control to choose iPod mode, FM radio
mode or AUX mode. The selected mode will appear on the display.
PLAYING AND PAUSING YOUR MUSIC
Dock your device in the unit, or with your device already docked in the unit,
press
to turn the unit on. Press the source button on the unit or remote
control to choose iPod mode. “iPod” will appear on the display. Press
on
the remote to play and pause your device.
USING THE MENU FEATURE
1. Press MENU on the remote to enter your devices menu.
2. Use the
and buttons on the remote to scroll through the functions.
3. Press SELECT on the remote to select a function.
FAST-FORWARDING AND REWINDING YOUR SONGS
Press and hold or on the unit or remote to rewind or fast forward
within a song.
SKIPPING FORWARD AND BACKWARD TO A SONG
Press and release or on the unit or remote incrementally to skip
forward or backward to a song.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO
1. Press the Source button on the unit or the remote until the unit is in
FM Radio mode. The display shows the last station chosen.
2. To choose a radio station press the FORWARD
or BACK buttons
on the unit or remote to scroll through station choices.
3. If you press and hold the FORWARD
or BACK buttons on the unit
or remote, the unit will automatically go into search mode and will stop on the
next available station with the strongest signal.
FM ANTENNA
While in FM Radio mode, tune to an FM station and extend the FM antenna
for better reception.
PRESET STATIONS
1. Tune to your preferred radio station using the FORWARD or BACK
buttons on the unit or remote.
2. To save your selection, press and hold the preset 1, 2, 3 or 4 button on the
remote until “P1”, “P2”, “P3” or “P4” appears on the display. Your station is
saved.
3. To recall a preset station, press the preset 1, 2, 3 or 4 button on the remote
while in FM Radio mode.
