Before you begin, read through these instructions and check that all parts are present.
Please note that Kawasaki cannot assume any responsibility for damage resulting from incorrect installation.
Kawasaki recommends that all genuine accessories should be fitted by an authorised Kawasaki dealer.
Apply Loctite or similar non-permanent locking agent for bolts and screws
1. Follow the steps shown in Img. 1,2,3,4,5 below to disassemble the seat (two screws), the grab rails.
Remove the four screws of the upper tail cover, pull the sides outward and remove the cover completely.

2. Unscrew the six screws indicated in Img. 6, pull the sides of the undertray outwards, and lower the rear
undertray (Img. 6,7)

3. Disconnect the green and the red cable attached to the undertray. (Img. 8, 9)

4. Remove the license plate and reflector bracket and remove the round side reflectors from the bracket.

5. Dismantle the plate holder (it is necessary to divide it in two halves) and remove the indicators.
(Img. 12, 13,14 ,15).

11. Insert the support 3 as in Img. 22 and pay attention that the wires run through the square hole as indicated.

6. Stick the damper (n°10) on the plate holder halves, as it is pointed out in Img. 16b, and place the extension
cable harness (n°9) (a= to the MC harness; b=to the indicators). Bundle up the three round connectors
with transparent shell as they are not used for this (USA) version of the bracket system. Connect the wiring
of the indicators and check correct operation.

7. Fix the (n°4) fender bracket to the plate holder as illustrated in Img. 17.
Apply the reflector n°16 as in Img. 18.

8. Install the indicators to the indicator holder (n°5) as in Img. 18b. Take care to keep the correct side up.
9. Install the original round reflectors removed earlier from the bike as in Img. 19.
10. Mount the stabilizer bracket (n°2) and license plate holder (n°5) with bolts (n°8) Img. 20,21.

14. Remove the original bolt of the left and right muffler supports and directly mount the threaded bracket panniers.

15. Remove the original bolt of the left and right footrest and fix the bracket pannier by bolts (n° 13) and Nut (n°14)

12. Reassemble the plate holder to the undertray, by securing the two originals screws again. Img. 23.
Place cables in the undertray groove and make sure they do not protrude.
13. Reassemble the rear undertray, press it upward against the frame and mount the four bolts (n°15) applying
some thread locking agent on the thread. Img. 24

17. Place side support one at time, fixing them with care and following the instruction in Img. 26-27.
Mount bolts (n°6) and bolts (n°7)
Tighten muffler bolts left+right. Install footpeg bracket bolts (n°13) left + right and attach and tighten locknut
(n°14) Tighten bolts + nuts left + right and bolts left + right. TORQUE 25Nm (2.5 Kgfm, 18ftlb)
18. Assemble the rubber plugs to the indicators holes as it is indicated in Img. 29
The table below, relating torque to thread diameter, lists the basic torque for the bolts and nuts. Use this table for
only the bolts which do not require a specific torque value. All of the values are for use with dry solvent-cleaned
threads.
After assembly and at regular intervals afterwards check that all screws are tight and retighten if necessary.
