Note: Itismosteffectivetotrainataheartratebetween60%and85%of

RateBarGraphwillnotlightiftheuserisoperatinginguestmodeornoheartratessignalisdetected.Ifthe
QuickStartprogramisrunning,thedefaultagevaluewillbeusedtocalculatetheestimatedmaximumheartrate.
MatrixDisplay
Whentheconsoleoperatesintheprogramrunmode,thematrixwillgraphicallydisplay
theresistancelevelandprofilefortheselectedprogram.Ahigherstackrepresentsa
higherresistancelevel,whileaflashingcolumnindicatestheuser’sprogressinthe
programatanygiventime.Eachverticalcolumnrepresentsatimeinterv
aldeterminedby
thetot
allengthoftheprogram.Eachcolumnwillequal1/20
th
ofthetotalprogramlength.
Forexample,iftheprogramlengthis30minutes,eachcolumnwillequal1½minutes.
TheMatrixDisplaywillalsoprovidemessagingandfeedbackduringthesetupmodes.
Distance
DistancewillbedisplayedineitherMilesorKilometers,dependingupontheselectionmadeintheconsole
setupmode(seesectiontitledEnglishUnitModeandMetricUnitModeonpage25).Thedistancecalculationis
anestimationbasedupontheuser’sRPM.
Calories
TheCaloriesfieldtrackstheestimatednumberofcaloriesburnedfromthebeginningoftheprogramandisa
derivativeoftheWattsgenerated,theuser’sRPMandtheresistancelevel.
