1. Disconnect the controller from the power supply:
AC - Disconnect from socket.
DC - Disconnect the battery from the PCB (Figure 1).
2. Open the GSI controller and press the RESET button for 10 seconds (this causes a complete discharge of
the power left in the panel).
3. Remove the two screws and gently disconnect the old modem. The antenna connected to the modem
should be gently disconnected from it.
4. Connect the antenna to the new modem. Place the new modem on the board and tight the screws back.
5. Turn the power back:
AC - Connect back to the power supply and wait until a view is obtained on the controller.
DC - Reconnect the battery on the board and wait until a view is obtained on the controller.
6. Wait up to 3-7 minutes for the modem to detect communication and display the current time.
7. If the controller has not made communication, try pressing RESET again.
# Care must be taken to disconnect the power and discharge the capacitors (sections 1 + 2)
to prevent irreversible damage to the modem.
