Your Creative Internet DECT Handset package contains the following items:
(a) Cordless handset
(b) Handset charger
(c) Two rechargeable AAA batteries
The supplied rechargeable batteries need to be fully charged before you use them. The
batteries are fully charged in approximately 14 hours.
To charge your handset's batteries, connect the handset charger's power adapter to a
wall outlet as shown.

Recharge your phone when an alert tone is heard and the battery low icon appears.
1. Turn on your computer.
Make sure the Creative Internet DECT Phone icon on the taskbar lights up in
green. The following icon colors indicate the status of your Internet DECT Phone.
Green - Logged on to Skype. Base station connected.
Red - Not logged on to Skype. Base station connected.
Grey - Base station* not connected.
Using incorrect batteries or charging non-rechargeable AAA batteries may result in
damage to your phone or even battery explosion.
* The base station can be found with your Creative Internet DECT Phone.
Before proceeding to Step 2, make sure your Creative Internet DECT Phone is
already installed and working.

During a Skype call
To adjust volume

Managing Your Internet DECT Phone
To add up to 100 phonebook entries to your handset
1. Select Names Pr ivate Add Entry.
To share up to 20 phonebook entries between handsets, select Names
Share Add Ent ry.
2. Use the handset buttons to enter a name next to Name .
To change uppercase or lower case letters, press the Lock/Shift button .
To enter special characters, press the Mute button OR 0+ button .
To enter a space, press and release the 1 button .
3. Press the bottom edge of the Navigation control to select Number .
4. Enter a phone number OR Speed-Dial number (set in Skype).
5. Press the bottom edge of the Navigation control to select Melody .
6. Press the left and right edges of the Navigation control to associate an incoming call
melody with the entry and select Save.

base station remains within 300 meters (984 feet). If the Reception icon flashes on the handset
screen and you hear an alert tone, your handset is out of range. Move your handset closer to your

Your Creative Internet DECT Phone works best when there are no obstructions (for example, walls
or other electronic devices) between your handset and base station. If you use your Internet DECT
Phone near certain electronic devices, you may hear a humming noise. This is normal and
