2. On your handset, press the End Call/Power button and select Menu → System →
Register.
3. On your base station, press and hold the Page button (see below) for 4 seconds until
the In Use LED flashes.
4. On your handset, enter your Creative Internet DECT Handset’s PIN (Personal Identification
Number): 0000, and select Ok. A message confirming your registration appears.

Your Creative Internet DECT Handset package contains the following items:
(a) Cordless handset
(b) Handset charger
(c) Two rechargeable AAA batteries
The supplied rechargeable batteries need to be fully charged before you use them. The
batteries are fully charged in approximately 14 hours.
To charge your handset's batteries, connect the handset charger's power adapter to a
wall outlet as shown.

Make sure your power supply has the correct voltage as indicated on the power adapter.

Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords.
●
Avoid using your product during an electrical storm.
●
Do not use this product near sensitive medical equipment or if you wear a pacemaker.
RF Radiation Exposure
This phone has been tested and meets the FCC RF exposure guidelines when used with the
supplied belt clip. Usage of other accessories may not comply with FCC RF exposure guidelines.
This product must not be operated together with other antennas or transmitters.
Recharge your phone when an alert tone is heard and the battery low icon appears.
1. Turn on your computer.
Make sure the Creative Internet DECT Phone icon on the taskbar lights up in
green. The following icon colors indicate the status of your Internet DECT Phone.
Green - Logged on to Skype. Base station connected.
Red - Not logged on to Skype. Base station connected.
Grey - Base station* not connected.
Using incorrect batteries or charging non-rechargeable AAA batteries may result in
damage to your phone or even battery explosion.
* The base station can be found with your Creative Internet DECT Phone.
Before proceeding to Step 2, make sure your Creative Internet DECT Phone is
already installed and working.

Press to locate your handset.
Your handset will not beep during a call or if it is powered off.

During a Skype call
To adjust volume
Press the top or bottom edge of the Navigation control .
To activate speakerphone
Select Options → Speaker.
To answer a second incoming call
Press the Call b utton .
To make a second outgoing call
Press the Call button .

Managing Your Internet DECT Phone
To add up to 100 phonebook entries to your handset
1. Select Names → Pr ivate → Add Entry.
To share up to 20 phonebook entries between handsets, select Names →
Share → Add Ent ry.
2. Use the handset buttons to enter a name next to Name .

To change uppercase or lower case letters, press the Lock/Shift button .

To enter special characters, press the Mute button OR 0+ button .
●
To enter a space, press and release the 1 button .
3. Press the bottom edge of the Navigation control to select Number .
4. Enter a phone number OR Speed-Dial number (set in Skype).
5. Press the bottom edge of the Navigation control to select Melody .
6. Press the left and right edges of the Navigation control to associate an incoming call
melody with the entry and select Save.
To view and call your private phonebook contacts
To make a Skype-to-ordinary-phone call, make sure you have an active SkypeOut account.
1. In the main menu, select Names → Private → View.
2. Select the contac t you want and press the Call button .
To make a Skype-to-ordinary-phone call
To use this feature, make sure you have an active SkypeOut
TM
account. For more information on
SkypeOut, visit skype.com.
1. Press the Call button . A dial tone is heard.
2. Press <00> OR <+><country code><phone number>, and press the Call button .
To receive a Skype call
When your handset rings, press the Call button .
To answer a call automatically when you pick up your handset from the handset charger
Select Menu → Advanced → Au to Answer → On.
Using Your Creative Internet DECT Phone
To turn your handset on or off
Press and hold the End Call/Power button .
To conserve power, your handset automatically turns off after 30 minutes if the base station is
disconnected from the computer.
Making and Receiving Calls
Do not use your Internet DECT Phone to make emergency calls.
To make a Skype-to-Skype call
1. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.
2. Double-click the Skype icon on the desktop. For more information about adding Skype
contacts, refer to Skype's online Help.
3. In the main menu, press the Skype button OR the top or bottom edge of the Navigation
control . Your Skype contact list appears on your handset's screen.
4. Use the Navigation control to select the contact you want, and press the Call button .
To end a Skype call
Press the End Call/Power button .
To redial numbers
To redial the last dialed number, press the Call button and select Redial.
1. In the main menu, press the right edge of the Navigation control .
2. Select the contac t you want and press the Call button .
To change your Skype online status from your handset
1. Press the left edge of the Navigation control OR select Menu → Skype.
2. Select Us er Status → online status that you want.
To assign quick dial numbers
Select Names → Private → Quick Dial.
To assign a number to all your handset buttons (except Cancel button and End Call button )
for one touch dialing
Select Menu → Advanced → To uch & D ial .
To use your handset as an alarm clock, timer or stop watch
Select Menu → Advanced → option that you want.
To listen to your Skype voicemail
To use this feature, make sure you have a Skype Voicemail

subscription.
1. Press the left edge of the Navigation control OR select Menu → Skype.
2. Select Vo ic ema il → View → message that you want → Play.
Using Multiple Handsets
To transfer a call or enter a three-way conference call during an external call
1. Press the Intercom button .
2. Select the handset you want and select Ok.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Creative Internet DECT Phone not receive incoming calls?
●
Creative Internet DECT Phone is not connected to the computer, or your computer is in standby mode.
●
Make sure the drivers are running. Select Start → Programs → Creative → Creative Internet
DECT Phone → Creative Internet DECT Phone.
“Unavailable” appears on my handset screen OR I do not hear a dial tone when making a
Skype-to-ordinary-phone call. What do I do?
●
Make sure you are logged-on to a Skype account and the base station is connected to your computer.
My device is prompting me to enter a PIN (Personal Identification Number). What do I do?
●
Enter your Creative Internet DECT Phone’s PIN: 0000. To change your PIN, select Menu →
System → Change PIN.
What is the optimal operating distance between my handset and base station?
●
When using your Creative Internet DECT Phone, make sure the distance between your handset and
base station remains within 300 meters (984 feet). If the Reception icon flashes on the handset
screen and you hear an alert tone, your handset is out of range. Move your handset closer to your
base station.
Your Creative Internet DECT Phone works best when there are no obstructions (for example, walls
or other electronic devices) between your handset and base station. If you use your Internet DECT
Phone near certain electronic devices, you may hear a humming noise. This is normal and
considered acceptable for radio devices.
Personalizing Your Internet DECT Phone
To configure your handset's language, display or clock settings
Select Menu → Display → option that you want.
To change your handset and key tones
Select Menu → Sounds → option that you want.
To reset your handset to its original settings
Select Menu → System → Reset.
