MxP2288 is now with upgraded firmware ( Version 2.XX ), featuring more stable interfaces especially the web browser. It provides a more friendly
user interface when accessing the unit for controls and settings via mobile devices such as tabs and smartphones. While the hardware parts
remained unchanged, the firmware upgrades made the overall operation simpler including the process of firmware updates and cascading feature.
MxP2288 shall be the matrix controller of choice in the market.
Be it a standalone installation or a networked ( LAN ) setup, MxP2288 shall outshine others in its class, which we learn and applied all feedback,
making it a truly outstanding equipment worth invested in. It is suitable for both commercial and residential application.
Among prominent features as compared to previous version are :
- 12 x 8 matrix configuration
- Powerful processor
- Zone Expansion in cascade mode
- Flexible audio source
- Fail safe operation
- Network (LAN) ready
- Prioritised audio routing
- Output with individual VBT

13. DC INPUT PORT
Input voltage is 24V DC with recommended power supply rating of 1A. Use only regulated DC supply and observe polarity when connecting.
16. MESSAGE PLAYER (MR1301)
Ribbon connection cable is provided for expanding output zones. Please refer to “cascading the unit”.
PD series of paging mic can be connected through this dedicated port. For short distance connection to PD, the power supply shall be drawn
directly from the port. “See section ‘11’ connecting the units”
18. OUTPUT CHANNELS
17. ETHERNET PORT
Connectivity to network switch.
Audio output is balanced line level signal. Each individual ouput can have its level preset at the front panel, including the bass and treble
control.
The external message playback signal shall be balanced line level, see also section ‘10’ “connecting the units”.
It is dedicated port for connecting EP1200 directly to matrix with the following pin configurations:-
Pin 1 - Data A
Pin 2 - Data B
Pin 3 - NC
Pin 4 - Ground
Pin 5 - +24V Supply
Pin 6 - Audio -ve output
Pin 7 - Ground
Pin 8 - Audio +ve Output
It allows connection of external source of balanced line or mic inputs. Mic audio shall be using XLR connectors, while line level using stereo
phone jack.
Please connect EP1200 to this designated port and PD mic to ‘Remote Paging Mic’ port only. Wrong connection may cause damage to the
equipment.

2) INPUT SOURCE
The controller accepts either XLR or phone jack via the combo jack.
Use the correct connector for different input level as:
Mic Level - XLR balanced (max 0.75mV)
Line Level - stereo phone jack balanced (max 1.25Vrms + 4dBU)
For unbalanced audio feed from audio player with RCA jack, connect to the controller using RCA - phone
jack adapter, or directly solder the cable to a phone jack.
To avoid humming, use only hot and cold end of phone jack, this making it an unbalanced connection.
Input Sources
Audio Output
3) OUTPUT AUDIO
Output is available as balanced line level through XLR jack. It can be fed directly to power amplifiers or through intermediate equipment such as
AX3800 auto amplifier changeover panel as show.
