Error is displayed when you are using the internal memory

Abnormality occurs in the internal memory.

Turn off the power and turn it on again.

If the situation is not improved, format the internal memory after backing up the stored

data.

WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. When you format the internal memory, all

stored images will be deleted including protected ones.

Error is displayed when you are using a memory card

Abnormality occurs in the memory card.

o Turn off the camera, then insert and remove the memory card several times. After

that, turn on the camera again.

o Insert another memory card.

o When you are using a memory card used on your PC, backup the stored data and

format the memory card with the camera.

WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. When you format the memory card,

all stored images will be deleted including protected ones?



 System error and C:32:01

1. Check whether the memory card is supported by the camera.

C:13:01 may be displayed when you shoot large data images such as movies.?

Use the memory cards shown below.

2. Format the memory card

WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. When you format the memory card,

all stored images will be deleted including protected ones?

If you record and delete images repeatedly, the files on the memory card may

become fragmented and the recording may stop automatically.

After backing up the stored data to your PC, format the memory card with the

camera.

3. Use another memory card



 E:41:00

An abnormality may occur on the Wi-Fi connecting part when error E:41:00 is

displayed.?

Turn off the power and remove the battery pack, then attach the battery pack and turn on

the power again after about 1 minute.

 Errors start from E:61, E:62, E:91, E:92

When the errors shown below are displayed, turn off the power and remove the battery

pack, then attach the battery pack and turn on the power again after about one minute.

The power does not turn ON even if the

battery pack or AC adapter is attached.

The following are the possible causes why the camera is not turning on even if the battery pack

or AC adapter is attached.

When using an AC adapter and USB cable

 Check whether the AC adapter and power cord are firmly connected to the main body

and to the electrical outlet.

 If you are using a USB cable, attach the battery to the camera and check whether the

equipment, such as a USB cable and the personal computer, are firmly connected.

 Depending on your camera, the camera determinates the connection with a USB cable. It

may take some time before the camera turns on.

If the camera does not start after connection, turn on the camera again after about 5

seconds.

When using the battery

 If the battery is exhausted, please try again after charging.

Go here if the battery cannot be charged.

The battery does not charge

 If the camera cannot be charged, does not turn on even after it was charged, or the power

turns off immediately after it was turned on, inspection is necessary.

Select your battery type and check following the procedures.

N, D, T, R, K, X, G battery

H, V, W, M battery

Step 1. Check if the battery is inserted in the right direction.

Step 2. If the CHARGE/Charge lamp flashes or does not light, the terminal may be dirty or there

may be a problem with the battery.

Wipe off the dirty terminal with a dry cloth, then charge the battery again.

NOTE: Do not touch the battery terminal with your hands or any metal objects.

[A] When there are fingerprints on the terminal.

[B] When there are objects adhering to the terminal.

[C] This is an example of a clean battery terminal.

Check that there is no dust or foreign matter in the gap. If it is unclean, wipe it off.

Step 3. For the battery, AC adapter, USB cable, and battery charger, use Sony exclusive goods.

If you use a non-exclusive product, charging may not be carried out properly or may cause

malfunction.

Step 4. If you charge a battery which has not been charged for a long period of time or from a

state of over-discharge, such as immediately after purchase, the CHARGE/Charge lamp may

flash. In this case, remove the battery and charge again to resolve the issue.

Step 5. In the following situations, you may not be able to charge normally.

Try to recharge under the proper environment.



o The temperature of the camera is high just after a long shooting.

o The ambient temperature is out of the range from 10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F).

The battery drains quickly.

Check the following concerning handling of the battery.

 Battery performance temporarily declines when used in cold temperatures, reducing the

time that it can be used.

To get more operating time out of the battery when cold, warm it up in a pocket or the

like, and then reattach it to the camera just before shooting.

 The battery drains quicker if you frequently perform operations such as flash and zoom

photography or shoot movies.

 The battery normally discharges slightly even when the camera is turned off. Remove the

battery after charging, and store it separately.

 The battery may not be able to charge properly if the battery terminals are dirty.

Wipe off the dirt with a dry cloth, cotton swab, or the like.

 The battery has a limited life. Battery capacity will diminish as it is repeatedly used or

over time.

If the time that the battery can be used diminishes substantially, it may be time to replace

it with a new one.

If the issue is still unresolved, the product may need to be repaired.

The battery or camera becomes hot or very

warm to the touch.

The camera or battery is heated to some extent during operation because the power consumed by

the camera is partly converted to heat. Normally, this is not an indication of a malfunction. If

necessary, turn the camera off and allow time for it to cool down.

Is the battery pack always charging while the

camera is connected to a computer or the

supplied AC adaptor via a USB cable?

Turn off the camera before you start charging the battery pack.

If the camera is turned on, charging will not start.

NOTE: An AC adaptor is not supplied with some models.

IMPORTANT: If you are using the camcorder equipped with a built-in USB cable, only
