About This Document
Purpose
This document describes how to power on and commission the FusionModule1000B
prefabricated modular data center solution (FusionModule1000B for short) in terms of
power-on commissioning preparations, checking items and precautions, power-on check,
power-on commissioning, joint commissioning, and power-off. This document also describes
the power-on commissioning, joint commissioning, and power-off methods for core
components of the solution. It provides you a quick grasp of the commissioning method.

1 Precautions for Power-On Commissioning
Verify that the configurations of various systems in the FusionModule1000 are consistent
with the initial configuration parameter manual.
This manual describes how to perform power-on commissioning. For details about
drawings and initial configuration parameters required during the operation, see the
initial configuration parameter manual for the solution in use.
Conduct power-on commissioning only after the FusionModule1000 is installed and the
installation is verified.
Power-on commissioning for each specific system must be performed under instructions
from qualified engineers.
The initial configuration parameters are essential to the reliable running of all systems.
Improper modifications of parameters may cause abnormal running status, or even
damage to the systems.
The initial parameters of the FusionModule1000 are configured before delivery. For
details about how to modify the parameters, see the documents delivered with the
components and the actual solution configuration.
Prior to the power-on commissioning, remove all the protective devices installed for
transporting the FusionModule1000, such as the securing tape on the smoke detectors,
heat detectors, and T/H sensors.
Before power-on commissioning, verify that the aisle temperature is within the normal
working range.
Do not perform power-on commissioning during a thunderstorm.
Verify that the upstream power supply is continuous during power-on commissioning.
Operations marked as optional in chapters, sections, or procedures can be performed
depending on the actual situation.
Huawei assumes no liability for any loss caused by unauthorized changes to the initial
configuration parameters.

Basic rules for the FusionModule1000 power-on commissioning are as follows:
Power on circuit A before powering on circuit B.
Power on the general input power PDC, power equipment, and loads in turn.
Power equipment power-on sequence: lights, fire extinguishing systems, and air
conditioners

System Power-On Commissioning
Prerequisites
The FusionModule1000 has been installed and has passed the insulation test.
Preparations
Tools: none
Documents: power supply and distribution device layout diagram, power supply and
distribution system diagram, power supply and distribution device initial configuration table
Skill requirement: power distribution engineer
For the diagrams and tables, see the initial configuration parameter manual for the solution in use.
Procedure
Step 1 Understand the layout of the power supply and distribution components by referring to the
power supply and distribution component layout.
Step 2 Understand the control relationship of the power supply and distribution system by referring
to the power supply and distribution system diagram.
Step 3 Understand the power-on commissioning process by referring to general power-on
commissioning process.
Step 4 Understand the initial configurations of the power supply and distribution system by referring
to the power supply and distribution component initial configuration table.

Secondary Refrigerant Selection Rules
The secondary refrigerant can be either water or glycol solution. Rules for selecting the
secondary refrigerant are as follows:
If the local lowest temperature recorded is above 0°C and municipal water quality meets
requirements, it is recommended that municipal water be used as the secondary
refrigerant.

If the local lowest temperature recorded is 0°C or lower, an antifreeze should be used as
the secondary refrigerant. Typically, glycol solution is recommended.
Water Used as the Secondary Refrigerant
Table 4-4 describes the materials to be prepared if water is used as the secondary refrigerant
in the cooling system.

The water refill pressure of the auxiliary water refill device should
be greater than 0.15 MPa and less than 1 MPa.
The lift range of the water refill pump must be between 15 m and 20
m.

Before the Cooling Container is powered on, the power supply for the auxiliary water refill
devices should be prepared separately. After the Cooling Container is powered on, the
auxiliary water refill devices are connected to the automatic transfer switch (ATS) in the
Cooling Container PDB to obtain power.

Determine the glycol volume concentration based on the lowest temperature in record in
the area where the FusionModule1000 is used. After determining the concentration, mix
the qualified water and glycol by the required ratio. Alternatively, you can purchase glycol
solution with the required concentration.
Glycol solution is toxic. Never drink it and avoid contact with your skin, eyes, mouth, or
nose.
