5.3 Saving a found DAB radio station as a preset
The radio can save up to 10 different DAB radio stations as presets. DAB presets are
not saved over FM presets.
Save aDAB radio station as follows (in DABmode):
1. Setthedesired station on theradio.
2. Holdin [ Preset ] (7), “Preset Store 1” will appear on thedisplay.
3. Turnthemultifunction knob (1) to select which preset number thestation is to have
(1–10). If there is already astation saved on preset 1, its name and frequency will
be displayed, if no station has previously been saved as preset 1, “Empty” will
appear on thedisplay.
4. Pressin themultifunction knob to confirm.
5. “Preset X stored” will appear on thedisplay to confirm that thestation has
beensaved.
Note: Ifapreviously saved station already occupies thechosen preset slot it will be
replaced by thenewone.
5.4 Browsing the saved DAB radio stations (in DAB mode)
1. Press[ Preset ] (7).
2. “Preset Recall 1” and its saved station name and frequency will appear on
thedisplay. Ifno station has previously been saved as preset 1, “Empty” will
appear on thedisplay.
3. Turnthemultifunction knob (1) to browse thestations saved as presets 1–10.
4. Pressin themultifunction knob to confirm your selection. Note:Theradio might
become silent for amoment whilst thestations are changing.
5.5 DAB display information
By pressing [ INFO ] (2) repeatedly, you can display thefollowing information:
• Time/Date – Thetime and date are set automatically.
• Channel/Frequency – Thefrequency is displayed as for example “11C 220.352MHz”.
• Audio Bite Rate: Thedisplay shows theradio mode (DAB) and thedigital audio bit
rate of thecurrent reception.
• Signal Strength: Thesignal strength is displayed graphically.
• DLS (Dynamic Label Segmenting): Textfrom theDAB station to which you
are listening. The information can for example include facts about thesongs
beingplayed.
• PTY (Programme Type): shows which type of programme you are listening to,
“Rock”, “Pop”, “News” etc. Ifthere is no information, thetext “Programme Type” is
displayed.
• Multiplex name: Thisis agroup of radio stations sent on thesame frequency.
Thereare both national and local multiplexes. Thelocal ones contain stations
specific for yourarea.
• Signal error: Showsthequality of signal on ascale of 0–99. Itis normally possible
to listen to asignal with aquality higher than30.
