PLACING THE VENTILATOR
Dometic ventilators avoid condensation, exhaust
fumes and heat built-up, working on the ingeni-
ously simple pressure-differential principle. They
are easy to install, maintenance-free and weather-
proof.
The distance from the gas-stove flame to the
lower edge of the cooker hood must not be less
than 50 cm.
The ventilator part A-B-C should be placed in the
roof, on a surface that is as even and horizontal as
possible. If the ventilator is positioned on a slop-
ing surface, the part A should be rotated so that
one of the three drainage openings points down-
wards. An inclination of up to 20° is acceptable
without reducing the ventilation when the motor
is not running.
FITTING THE VENTILATOR
Make a hole with a diameter 1.
of 105 mm through the roof
of the vehicle.
Place the ventilator part 2. A in the hole
and make a mark of the six screw holes.
Remove part 3. A and apply a thin ring of
some permanently plastic sealing com-
pound around each hole.
Put the rubber ring into the groove 4.
underneath of part A. It is important that
the lower part isrmly tightened so that
the rubber gasket fits closely against the
roof.
Fasten the hood 5. B in the lower part A.
Then, fasten the upper part C in the
lower part A.
Make a hole in the bottom of the cup-6.
board, see FIG 2.
Fasten the ventilator hood 7. D with
screws. Fit the hose to the fan and hood
and tighten the hose with the hose clips.
Connect the fan to the battery according 8.
to the figure.
Should the appliance ever need to be dismantled,
follow the installation instructions in reverse
order as described.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE INSTALLING
Before installing, please check the following:
Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified person(s) in accordance with all applicable 3
codes and standards.
S3 ufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel burning
equipment to prevent back drafting.

Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.3
To reduce the risk of fire, only use ductwork classed UL94-HB or better.3

CLEANING
General instructions
Please observe that the surfaces and controls are suscep-
tible to scratches and abrasions. All external surfaces and
controls can be cleaned using warm water with a little
washing-up liquid applied with a sponge or cloth. Wipe
the surfaces dry using a soft cloth.
Do not use cleaning agents containing soda,
acids, chlorides or solvents. Avoid abrasive
cleaning agents, e.g. powder cleaners or cream
cleaners and abrasive sponges as these will dam-
age the surface material. Furthermore, do not
use too much water when cleaning the controls.
Water could penetrate into the electronics and
cause damage.
Cleaning the fan lter
The fan filter absorbs grease in cooking fumes and
requires cleaning now and then. How often depends
on how much the cooker is used and for how much the
fan is in operation. Remove and clean the filter regularly
and do not wait until the suction power of the fan begins
to decrease noticeably. Please note that an oversaturated
filter is a fire hazard.
To clean the filter, follow these steps:
Remove the filter by gently sliding it to the 1.
side (a). Pull it downward and push to the other
side. The filter will drop out (b).
Clean the filter. Either by hand, using a soft nylon 2.
brush, warm water and a little washing up liquid
- or - in a dishwasher where the filter should be
placed with the short side upright in the lower
basket, ensuring the spray arm is not obstructed.
Wash using a 65 °C (145-150 °F) programme.
Depending on the cleaning agent used,
cleaning the filters in a dishwasher can
cause permanent discolouration to the
surface. However, this will not affect the
functioning of the filters in any way.
Reinstall in reverse order of removal. Make 3.
sure the filter is securely engaged.

Some tips and advice
Using the low light option will extend the life of the •

Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat. •
You will find it helpful to turn the cooker hood on
a few minutes before you start cooking. This starts
to move the air in the kitchen and will speed up the
elimination of cooking odours.
It is advisable to run the fan for a few minutes after •
cooking is finished to neutralise any lingering odors
