AQUAMAXX AM100 is a protein skimmer designed to remove organic waste from your aquarium water. It features a needle wheel pump that creates a powerful stream of bubbles, which helps to trap and remove waste particles. The skimmer also includes a quick-precise adjusting valve that allows you to fine-tune the water level within the skimmer, ensuring optimal performance. For best results, place the skimmer in 8 to 10 inches of water and adjust the water level within the skimmer to where the cup meets the neck. If you prefer the skimmate to be more liquid, then adjust the water level higher.

Assemblingthemainunit

1. Connectrubberfeettothemainbaseandpumpbase.

2. Connecttheairhosefromtheairintaketothesilencer.

3. Connectthewateroutletoftheneedlewheelpumptothemainskimmerbody,andtightenthe

setscrew.

4. Installthecupintotheneckoftheskimmer.A1/8

clockwiseturnwilllockthecupintoposition.



Selectasuitableplacetosetyourproteinskimmer.

1. Forbestresultsplacetheskimmerin8to10inchesofwater.Pleasemakesurethattheskimmer

isinnomorethan10inchesofwater.OtherwisetheQuick‐preciseadjustingvalvewillnot

functionproperly.

2. Thepumpmustbecompletelysubmergedunderwaterwheninuse.



1. Pluginthepump.

2. Themainchamberwillfillwithbubbles.CarefullyadjusttheQuick‐preciseadjustingvalve

(clockwisetoclose,thewaterlevelinthechamberwillgoup;counter‐clockwisetoopen,the

waterlevelwillgodown).Adjustthewaterlevelwithintheskimmertowherethecupmeets

theneck.Ifyouprefertheskimmatetobemoreliquid,thenadjustthewaterlevelhigher.

Otherwise,adjustitlowerandtheskimmatewilllooklikemud.

3. Itmayrequireseveraldaysfortheskimmertoreachmaximumperformance,duetotiny

amountsofoilorremnantsleftonthesurfacefrommanufacturing.Tospeedupthisprocess,it

isrecommendedtousewarmwatertocleanbeforeinstallation.(DONOTUSEANYSOAPOR
