Safety and Maintenance
1. Extreme caution is necessary when any fan/heater is used by or near children or invalids
and whenever the unit is left operating and unattended. Children should be under
supervision to ensure that they will not play with the fan as a toy.
2. Do not plug the tower into any other cord-connected device such as a power strip, surge
protector, multiple outlet adapter, grounding adapter or outlet-type air fresheners. Plug
into a 3-prong 120v 15amp or higher grounded circuit receptacle only. Do not plug
the tower into a loose-fitting or broken receptacle. The tower is for use on 120 volt outlets.
3. Always unplug tower when not in use. Dont move the tower until you unplug it from the
outlet.
4. Dont unplug by pulling on the cord. You should unplug and grasp the plug, not the cord.
5. Dont operate the tower with a damaged cord or plug, or after it has been dropped or
damaged in any manner. In such cases, contact customer service to replace or repair if
it is damaged.
WARNING
To avoid fire, electric shock or personal injury, be sure to comply
with the following requirements.
- 4 -
6. Dont stretch the cord or place the cord under strain. Keep the cord away from heat
sources.
7. Dont run the cord under carpeting. Dont cover the cord with throw rugs, runners or
similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic areas to avoid tripping over the cord.
8. Turn off all controls before unplugging. Remove the plug from the outlet when not in use
for long periods of time. To avoid a tripping hazard, safely coil the cord.
9. Dont insert or allow foreign objects to enter the inlet grill. Dont block the opening. Keep
free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce airflow as this may cause an electric
shock or fire, or damage the tower.
10. Dont use the tower outdoors, on construction sites or on wet surfaces. The tower is not
intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas or similar indoor locations. Never place the
tower where it may fall into a bath or other water container. Do not use or store where it
may get wet or in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower, or a swimming pool.
11. Dont immerse the tower, its power cord or plug it into water or other liquids.
12. Use of extension cords aren’t recommended.
13. Dont use in conjunction with or directly next to an air freshener or similar products.
14. Dont use any cleaning agent or lubricants on this tower (see page - 7 -). Unplug before
cleaning, carrying and performing any maintenance.
15. Do not use on soft surfaces, such as a bed, where air inlet may become blocked.
16. When performing filter maintenance, do not force the filter to dry using alternative
methods. Doing so could damage the filter.
17. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or stored.
