Setting up
1. Firstly you need to take your router out of the box and connect the power lead, please
do not turn it on until you have all other cables connected.
2. You then need to connect one end of the red ended Ethernet cable in the red WAN
port on the back of your Technicolor router.
3. Plug the other end of the cable into the Radio’s
power supply (also known as an IDU).
Alvarion IDU The black Ethernet cable goes off to the
aerial and must be in the ‘Radio’ port in the end of the IDU,
this is at the top. The power cable is connected at the
bottom of the IDU and the Red ended Ethernet cable plugs
in to the side. When fully functional you will have 2 lights
appear on the IDU.
Radwin IDU The black Ethernet cable at the bottom goes off to the
aerial and must be in the ‘out’ port of the IDU. The power cable is
connected at the top of the IDU and the Red ended Ethernet cable plugs
in to the ‘in’ port at the bottom of the IDU. When fully functional, you will
have one light on the power supply.
4. If you wish to connect a device hardwired, you will need to use the yellow ended
Ethernet Lead provided with the router and connect it to one of the 4 ETH ports
available.
5) Once all of the cables have been connected, you are now able to switch on the power
on the router, leave the router for 10-15 minutes and once all of the lights are on like
shown below, you are able to start using your broadband with Call Flow.
