DOUBLEINSULATIONCONSTRUCTION
Thisunitisdoubleinsulatedtohelpprotectagainstelectricshock.Doubleinsulationconstruction
consistsoftwoseparate“layers”ofelectricalinsulationinsteadofgrounding.Toolsandappliances
builtwithadoubleinsulationsystemarenotintendedtobegrounded.Nogroundingmeansis
providedonthisunit,norshouldameansofgroundingbeaddedtothisunit.Asaresult,the
extensioncordusedwithyourunitcanbepluggedintoanystandard120voltelectricaloutlet.
Safetyprecautionsmustbeobservedwhenoperatinganyelectricaltool.Thedoubleinsulation
systemonlyprovidesaddedprotectionagainstinjuryresultingfromaninternalelectrical
insulationfailure.

EXTENSIONCORDMakesureyourextensioncordisingoodcondition.Whenusinganextension
cord, be sure it is heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw. An undersized
extensioncordwillcauseadropinlinevoltageresultinginlossofpowerandoverheating.
Itispossibletotietheextensioncordandpowercordinaknotto
preventthemfrombecomingdisconnectedduringuse.Makethe
knotasshown,thenconnecttheplugendofthepowercordinto
thereceptacleendoftheextensioncord.Thismethodcanalsobe

usedtotietwoextensioncordstogether.
UNIT/MAINTENANCESAFETY

Inspecttheentireunitbeforeeachuseforworn,loose,missing,ordamagedparts.Donotuseuntiltheunitis
inproperworkingorder.

Have all maintenance other than the recommended procedures described in the instruction

Always seeyour authorizedservicedealertoreplaceadamagedimpeller.Partsthatarechipped,
cracked, broken, or damaged in any other way can fly apart and cause serious injury. Replace
damagedpartsbeforeusingtheunit.

Warning!Theunitmustnotbeusedorswitchedonuntilithasbeenfullyassembled.
1. Fitthelowertubeintotheuppertube.Ensurethatiscorrectlyinsertedandpushedinasfaras
possibleandsecuredwiththetwoscrewsprovided.
2. Inserttheuppertubeintothecrankcasewhileensuringthatitiscorrectlyfitted,insertedasfar
aspossibleandsecuredwiththetwoscrewsprovided.
3. Theunitissuppliedwithashoulderstrap.Thisisfittedtothebottomofthecrankcaseasbelow
photo.Theshoulderstrapissuppliedtoreducefatigueandgetmorecomfortableoperation.It
canbefittedinapositionthatsuitstheoperator.

Caution:Beforefittingthecollectionbag,checkthatfunctionselectionleverisinthenormal
positionandisnothinderedbydebrisfromtheprevioustimeused.
4. Fold the opening of the collection bag over the connection and then insert it into the lateral
holeson discharge port.Attachthefrontofthecollection bagunder the vacuum/blowerhose
usingthebagretainingclip.
OPERATION
Securingtheextensioncord
Securetheextensioncordtotheunitbythreadingthecordthroughthecordretainer.Insertthe
cordreceptacleintotherecessedplug.
CAUTION:Failuretousecordretainercouldresultindamagetotheunit,extensioncord,or
both.
Starting:
Beforestartingtheunit,ensurethatthetubesisfittedcorrectly.
Warning!Beforeselectingtheblowerorvacuumfunction,ensurethatthe functionselection
leverisinthenormalpositionandisnotobstructedbydebrisfromtheprevioustimeused.Donot
use the vacuum/blower to suck up water or very damp debris. Never use the vacuum/blower
withoutthecollectionbag.

OperationTips:
Before beginning, inspect the area you wish to clear. Remove all debris and objects likely to be
thrown or get stuck or tangled in the machine. Do not try to vacuum damp debris; leave fallen
leavesandother debristodrybeforeusingthemachine.Itcanbeused
toblowdebrisoffofpatios,
paths,lawns,shrubs,edgesandalleys.Itcanalsovacuumleaves,paper,smalltwigsandwoodchips.
Whenthemachineisusedinvacuummode,thedebrisissuckedinthroughthehosesuctionnozzle,
and then ejected into the collection bag. When it passes through the suction turbine, they are
partiallybroken up. The broken up vegetal debris is very well suitedto creating mulch for plants.
Warning!Ifahardobjectsuchasastone,tincan,glass,etc.issuckedin,itwilldamagethesuction
turbine.
Blowermode
Selecttheblowerfunction,andswitchiton.Startblowingatmaximumpowertoquicklygatherthe
scatteredleaves.Thenreducetheblowingpowertocompacttheheapsgenerated.Restthehoseon
thewheelsandpushitforward,pointingtheendofthetubetowardsthedebrisyouwishtoremove.
You can also keepthe end of the tube justtube abovethe groundand moveit from side to side
whilemovingforwardinthedirectionofthedebrisyouwishtoremove.Blowthedebrisintopiles,
andthenusethevacuumfunctiontobreakitup.

Vacuummode
Select the vacuum function, and switch it on. Rest the hose on the wheels and push it forward,
pointingtheendofthetubetowardsthedebrisyouwishtovacuum.Youcanalsokeeptheendof
the tube just tube above the ground and move it from side to side while moving forward in the
directionofthedebrisyouwishtovacuum.Donotpushtheendofthetubeintothedebris,asthis
risksblockingthesuctiontubeandreducingtheeff ectivenessoftheappliance.
Vegetalmaterials,suchastheleaves,containalargeamountofwater.Thisiswhytheycanstickto
theinsideofthesuctiontube.Tolimitthisproblem,leavevegetaldebristodryforafewdaysbefore
vacuuming.
Warning! If the machine should suddenly stop during use and no longer generate suction,
turn it off immediately. Disconnect the power supply and check that no material is caught
between the fan and the screw. Perform this operation following the instructions provided in
chapter“MulchingChamberCleaning.
When the collection bag is full, the level of vacuum decreases significantly. Stop the machine.
Unplug it from the power supply and wait for the vacuum fan to stop, detach the bag from the
machine.Openthezipperandremovethe contents.
Warning! Before replacing the bag , clean the inside of the discharge area of all mulched
residue.
Closethezipper,remountthebagontheunitandresumeactivities.
MulchingChamberCleaning
Stopthe machine.Disconnectfromthe powersupply. Remove thescrews thatattach thetubeto
themachinebodyandthenslidethetubesoutoftheirposition.Removeanydirtorresiduefrom
the vacuum hose, the mulching fan and the exhaust duct. To help with cleaning you can use a
curvedtoolaslongasitisn’tsharporpointedasthiscouldseriouslydamagethemachine.Check
thatthefanisingoodworkingconditionandthatnofinsarebrokenormissing,ifthisisthecase
organiseforitsreplacementusinganauthorizedservicecentre.Reassemblethetubesasstep2in
theASSEMBLY” section.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING!Disconnecttheappliancefromthepowersupplybeforecleaningorcarrying
outanyroutinemaintenance.
1. Keepallnuts,boltsandscrewsfittedtotheappliancetoensurethatitremainsingoodworking
condition.
2. Never leave debris in the machine or in the collection bag. This can be dangerous when the
machine is next operated. Remove and empty the collection bag. Check that the function
selectionleverisnormalandnotobstructedbydebris.Brushtheareasurroundingtheturbine
andtheinsideofthemachinehosetoremovedebris.Donotuseanytypeofcleaningsolventon
theplasticpartsoftheappliance.
3. Frequentlycheckthestateofwearanddeteriorationofthedebriscollector.
4. Replacewornordamagedpartsusingreplacementpartsandoriginalaccessories.Anydamaged
orwornpartsmustbereplacedinordertokeepthemachineingoodworkingcondition.
5. Haverepairscarriedoutbyaqualifiedpersonusingonlyidenticalreplacementparts.
STORAGE
1. Aftereachuse,cleantheentiremachineanditsaccessoriescarefully,thuspreventinganymould
fromforming.
2. Keep the machine out of the reach of children, in a stable safe position, in a dry place not
subjecttoextremetemperaturesandfreefromdust.
3. Protectthemachinefromdirectsunlight,keepingitinthedarkwherepossible,orintheshade.
4. Donotclosethemachineinnylonbagsasdampcouldform.
5. Once the mowing season is over, the machine should be cleaned thoroughly and you should
ensurethatallitscomponentsareingoodworkingorder.
WARNING!Attheendoftheseasoncarefullywashthecollectionbag.Detachthebagfrom
themachineandturnitinsideout.Shakevigorouslyandwashgentlywithwarmwaterandamild
detergent. Let it dry thoroughly in the shade and then store it together with the machine.
Remember: if the bag is clean, the machine will work better. A dirty bag will obstruct airflow,
therebyreducingvacuumefficiency.

date of purchase under normal household use. Product is not to be used for commercial, industrial or
rental use. Warranty does not apply to defects due to direct or indirect abuse, negligence, misuse,
accidents, repairs or alterations and lack of maintenance. Please keep your receipt/packing list as proof of
purchase. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from
state to state. Do not return to retailer!
