INSTEON Remote Control 2-Wire Dimmer Switch allows you to control the lighting in your home remotely using either a controller or your smartphone. The switch can be used to turn lights on and off, dim them, and set schedules. It is also compatible with other INSTEON devices, so you can create automated scenes and control your lighting with your voice.

Quick Start Guide

SwitchLinc™ 2-Wire Dimmer (RF)

What’s in the Box?

• SwitchLinc 2-Wire Dimmer • Three (3) wire nuts

• Two (2) screws

Tools Needed

• Slotted screwdriver • Phillips screwdriver

• Wire cutter/stripper • Voltage meter

Installing SwitchLinc

1) At electrical panel, turn off circuit breaker(s) feeding wall box (verify that

power is off)

2) Remove wallplate, unscrew existing switch and gently pull out

3) Disconnect wires from switch

4) After making sure the wires are not touching, turn breaker back on

5) Use a voltage meter to identify the line, load and ground wires

6) Turn breaker back off

7) Connect wires as follows with wire nuts:

8) Mount SwitchLinc back into wall box, orienting the LED bar on left

9) Turn breaker back on

SwitchLinc LED bar and connected light/load will turn on

10) Test by tapping SwitchLinc on and off

Connected light/load will turn on and off

11) Reinstall the wallplate

Making SwitchLinc an INSTEON Responder

1) Press and hold controller button until it beeps

Controller LED will start blinking

2) Tap SwitchLinc on

Connected light/load will turn on

3) Press and hold SwitchLinc’s Set button until it double-beeps

Controller LED will stop blinking and unit will double-beep

4) Confirm link by tapping controller’s button on and off

Connected light/load will turn on and off
