1 x Smart Plug (also called Power Meter Switch)
What is it?
Green Power, Green Savings
The Smart Plug is designed to work with your system, and is intended for the users
to remotely turn on/off an electric appliance via a smartphone, a tablet or via MY-
SERENITY Home Manager anytime, anywhere. The integration of these devices into
your system will allow you to conveniently control home appliances for comfort or
energy-saving purposes.
The Smart Plug has a built-in power meter to measure electricity consumption. The
collected energy data will be reported to the gateway (panel). These energy
consumption reports are viewable online and can help you form an effective

Adding the Smart Plug to your system
MY-SERENITY accessories are easy to add to your existing system. To do this you
need to ‘learn’ each accessory into the system and then name them in your online
account (you can leave the default name if you wish).
The button located on the rear edge of the gateway is the learning button; when this
is pressed the gateway beeps to signify that it has been placed into ‘learn’ mode.
Only the top LED is lit during this process (flashing). New devices can be registered
only when the gateway is in ‘learn’ mode. Press the learn button a second time to
take the gateway out of learn mode.
1. Place the gateway into ‘learn’ mode.
2. Plug the Smart Plug into a power outlet.
3. Go to the equipment page. Click on add new equipment and follow the
instruction.
4. Press and hold the button on the plug for about 12 seconds and release
when the red LED flashes once. After several seconds, if the learning is
successful, the red LED will flash twice quickly to indicate.
5. When the gateway receives the learning code from the plug, the power
switch information will be displayed on the equipment page.
6. Plug a home appliance into the Power switch. This home appliance’s voltage
and electric data will be transferred to the gateway.
7. Press the learn button on the back of the gateway a second time to exit learn
mode
Your power meter switch has now been added to your system.
Note: The Power switch transmits a signal with power data to the gateway regularly
every 2 minutes.
Additional information
Testing
Before fixing the power meter switch permanently in place, you should test it to
ensure that it is operating normally and within communicating range of the Control
gateway. To test the power meter switch:
Plug the Power Switch into a power outlet.
If the Power Switch is within signal range of gateway, the gateway
will display its information on the webpage. If the gateway does not
show the information, the Power switch is not in the signal range of
the gateway. Please find another suitable place to try again.
Note: For 230V: the maximum operation load is 3680W and 16A. Warning:
please do not exceed the maximum load. When the power is below 20W,
measurement error would become greater. If Power switch is removed from the
power outlet, after replugging, the previous on/off status of the Power switch
will be resumed within 1 minute.
