ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Kenley Floor Lamp. Model: HFL-001
BEFORE YOU START
1. Inspect the lamp.
2. Remove all packing material and tape from the lamp and bulb.
3. Avoid pulling wire connections when removing contents from the packaging or during
installation.
4. Lay out all parts on a flat surface.
ASSEMBLY
To prevent damage to the pole, please follow exactly the steps outlined below:
1. Remove the black rubber protector around the wires on the base (this is to protect
the wires in transit and must be removed).
2. Screw the UPPER POLE clockwise into the FLEX POLE. Do not cross-thread the
pole assembly and take care not to pinch the wires (see illustration 1).
3. Take the FLEX POLE and feed the POWER CORD through the UPPER and LOWER
POLE.
4. Screw the LOWER POLE clockwise into the UPPER POLE. Do not cross-thread the
pole assembly and take care not to pinch the wires (see illustration 1).
5. Screw the BASE FIXING CYLINDER clockwise on to the THREADED POLE on the
base. Do not cross-thread the cylinder assembly and take care not to pinch the wires
(see illustration 2).
6. Connect the two ends of the POWER CORD by pressing the LOCK CONNECTORS
into place (see illustration 1).
7. Carefully feed the excess POWER CORD into the LOWER POLE. DO NOT
SHORTEN THE POWER CORD.
8. Insert the LOWER POLE over the BASE FIXING CYLINDER. (See illustration 3).
9. Line up the screw holes and use a screwdriver to tighten the screw provided (see
illustration 3).
10. TAKE CARE NOT TO PINCH THE CORD BETWEEN ANY METAL PARTS.
TO FIT OR REPLACE THE BULB
DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE ON THE GLASS TUBES TO AVOID BREAKAGE
AND SERIOUS INJURY. ALLOW BULB TO COOL BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO
REPLACE.
1. Remove the plug from the mains.
2. Insert the BULB into the CLIPS on the lamp head. Locate the BULB against one side
of the clip and then gently push the BULB into the other side of the clip. Push the
BULB into the SOCKET all the way until the BULB clicks in the SOCKET to make
proper contact (see illustration 4).
3. To remove the BULB reverse the above procedure.
4. Plug the lamp into the mains.
CLEANING
Do not use polishes or cleansers. Wipe clean with a soft cloth or rag.
IMPORTANT
1. This lamp uses a 27W full spectrum bulb type PL27QBX4PC (included).
2. Remove all packing material around the bulb before use.
