Fuel Conversion and Labelling
Removing the Front Panels to Access the Gas Valve (for CI2 399 to 1000)
Refer to the Installation and Start-up/Service
Instructions applicable to this boiler.
Ensure that main power to the equipment being serviced
is off.
Ensure that the main fuel supply valve to the boiler
is closed.
Take precautions to avoid accidental activation of power
or fuel during service work.
Do not perform service work on any component part
without ensuring safe operation of the heating system.
When replacing parts, use original Viessmann or
Viessmann approved replacement parts.

Please ensure that these instructions are read and
understood before starting any service work. Failure
to comply with these instructions may cause product/
property damage, severe personal injury and/or loss
of life.
Working on the equipment
The installation, adjustment, service and maintenance
of this product must be performed by a licensed
professional heating contractor who is qualified and
experienced in the installation, service, and maintenance
of hot water boilers. There are no user serviceable parts
on the boiler, burner or control.

To access the BCU and control unit, panels have to be
removed.
1. Turn the power switch off and disconnect the power
supply to the boiler, close gas shutoff valve.
2. Slide the top panels towards the back, exposing the
front panel release.
3. Using a screwdriver, press down on the front panel
release.
4. Pull the top of the front panel away from the boiler,
then lift up to remove.
Tap the following buttons:

3. Enter password “viservice”.
4. Confirm with .
5. “Commissioning”
Changing the gas type
1. Set the gas type in the commissioning assistant.
2. Affix the supplied label for the newly set gas type.
3. Complete the supplied report for the change of gas type.
Note: Observe the information and safety instructions
in the installation and service manuals.
Preparing to change the gas type
1. Open the gas shut-off valve.
2. If the appliance has not been switched on yet:
Turn on the ON/OFF switch.
The commissioning assistant starts
automatically.
Proceed to changing the gas type.
or
If the appliance has already been switched on,
perform the following steps.
