1.1 About PitStop Extreme
The About panel (accessible from the PitStop Extreme menu on Mac OS X, or from the
Help menu on Windows) shows the version of PitStop Extreme you are using, and
contains registration and legal information.
1.2 Download and Installation
1.2.1 Download
PitStop Extreme can be downloaded from the Enfocus PitStop Extreme Product page on
http://www.enfocus.com. You can download the trial version by clicking the “Free Trial”
button.
Enfocus PitStop Extreme is licensed by means of a Product Key and an activation
procedure. See 1.3.3 Activation using a File on page 16.
1.2.2 Installation
To install PitStop Extreme:
1Locate the downloaded Compressed file (“.tgz”) on your machine.
2If the compressed file is not expanded automatically, double-click it to
expand it.
The compressed file contains an installer.
3Double-click on the installer to start installation.
4Follow the installation instructions on your screen.
Note:
After the first installation of PitStop Extreme, the first startup will take some time,
as PitStop Extreme still has to do a lot of initializing, e.g. font caches.
1.2.3 The language for PitStop Extreme
The language of the installer defines the language version of the Documentation to be
included with the application. It doesn’t limitate the application language, so the
application language can still changed.
On Mac OS X, PitStop Extreme will use the language as defined in the system. On
Windows, the application can be set in the Advanced tab of the Preferences.
On both systems, changing the language will only take effect if the application is
relaunched.
