TROUBLE SHOOTING
Problem Cause Solution
Engine fails to start 1. The engine switch is in the
OFF position.
2. Fuel cock is closed.
3. Too much fuel in the com-
bustion chamber.
4. Faulty mixture of fuel and
air.
5. Faulty spark plug or accu-
mulated carbon in the spark
plug.
6. Gasoline mixed with water.
1. Switch the motor switch to ON.
2. Open the fuel cock.
3. Remove the spark plug and pull
the starter 4-5 times. Clean the
carburetor and air filter.
4. Adjust the choke.
5. Clean/replace the spark plug.
6. Replace the fuel.
Engine runs erratic. 1. Dirty air filter or carburetor.
2. Generator is used in high al-
titudes.
1. Clean or replace air cleaner.
2. Let the carburetor be adjusted
in an authorised service center.
Fuel is leaking between the
fuel tank hole and cap. 1. Too much fuel in the tank. 1. Drain some fuel.
The generator does not
produce enough power or
the voltage is too low.
1. Overload protection device
has tripped.
2. Engine speed is too low or
the speed adjustment is not
functioning properly.
1. Reset the overload protection
device.
2. Take the generator to an author-
ised service center for speed ad-
justment.
The generator overheats. 1. Too much load.
2. Dirty cool air inlet and/or
cooling flanges.
3. Ambient temperature is too
high.
1. Unplug some of the connected
devices. Re-count the load.
2. Clean the inlet and flanges.
3. Cool the generator down.
Electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste. Instead, hand
it over to a designated collection point for recycling. Contact your local authorities or retailer for
further information.
