CHAPTER 1 | VERITY® 1910 MS DETECTOR WITH MIDAS™
SETUP OVERVIEW
1. Unpack the System
The VERITY 1910 MS Detector with MiDas is shipped in two separate boxes: one box contains the VERITY 1910 MS Detector
and its standard accessories, and the other contains the MiDas and its standard accessories. Other accessories may be
shipped separately.

• MiDas™ User’s Guide
• InstallationQualification(IQ)Procedures
• VERITY® 1910 MS Detector with MiDas™ Setup Guide (this document)
2. Prepare the Software
Read any installation instructions or other relevant documentation provided with the software. Install the software, if
necessary, before setting up or configuring any hardware.
3. Read the Hardware Documentation
Read any installation instructions or other relevant documentation before setting up or configuring any hardware.
4. Place the Hardware
Place the VERITY 1910 MS Detector on a lab bench according to the technical specifications described in the
VERITY® 1910 MS Detector User’s Guide.
Connect the drain tube to the outlet on the gutter provided with the MiDas. Place the front feet of the MiDas through the
holes in the gutter. Stack the MiDas with gutter on the VERITY 1910 MS Detector.
5. Make the Rear Panel Connections
Make all electrical and communication connections on the rear panels of the VERITY 1910 MS Detector and the MiDas.
Refer to the “Installation” chapters in the VERITY® 1910 MS Detector User’s Guide and MiDas™ User’s Guide.
Do not turn on the instruments.
6. Make the Plumbing Connections
Make all plumbing connections to the VERITY 1910 MS Detector and the MiDas. Refer to the Installation chapters in the
VERITY® 1910 MS Detector User’s Guide and MiDas™ User’s Guide.
7. Power On the Instruments
Operation Via TRILUTION® LC Software Control
First, power on the router, and then ensure the VERITY 1910 MS Detector is connected to the router. Switch the
VERITY 1910 MS Detector on, and then press the power button on the front panel. Finally, start TRILUTION LC.
Operation Via Gilson Glider Prep Software (GGP) Control
First, ensure the VERITY 1910 MS Detector is connected to the PLC Purification System. Switch the
VERITY 1910 MS Detector on, and then press the power button on the front panel. Switch the PLC System on. Finally, start
GGP Software.
8. Complete the Installation Qualification
Complete the Installation Qualification (IQ) for the VERITY 1910 MS Detector with MiDas.
